I'm using Discardlock and I beat all decks in meta. There's some difficult against Quest Warrior but is still winnable. So, no, it is not a rock-paper-scissors meta. It's just the people are trying news deck and the meta is inconsistency nowadays.
Well first off, the game has pretty much always been Rock-Paper-Scissors (except after WoG when it was just Midrange Shaman in power) because that's simply how it works: Aggro beats Midrange, Midrange beats Control and Control beats Aggro. And as for other strong decks, Lyra Combo Priest and Zoolock/Discolock are still running pretty strong even though they both require a decent amount of RNG. And when it comes down to the matchup between Aggro Hunter and Taunt Warrior, my Stampede Hunter has actually stood up pretty decently to Taunt Warriors, especially with Dinomancy on hand. Of course, I'd still call it my worst matchup with Aggro Hunter compared to the other decks you have mentioned here.

Idk what rank you're playing at, but your list is off.
Taunt warrior destroys mage if they have dirty rats, which most do (unless the warrior is bad and plays bad) Exodia mage destroys rogue Hunter can destroy taunt warrior if it's more midrange, there are way more than just the listed archetypes in the meta right now...
Everything is much more volatile right now, and decks are unrefined. No, there is not a balanced meta right now. Also, the whole rock paper scissors thing is boring... the 80+ percent chance to win a game based off of the match up isn't balance, in my opinion.
Actually the midrange deck is not an archetype. Its general strategy may be an aggro or control. Its more like combo\control\aggro. Thats the 3 main archetypes.

I agree with your post. There are favorable class, decks types against other class deck types and vice versa. The only thing you can do to ladder is to play your deck as well as you can; seeking something north of 60% win ratio. You are going to run into decks that wreck your deck and there is pretty much nothing you can do. If the meta is such that it is dominated by one archtype, then tech in some cards to help you deal with the problem decks. That is all...cheers!

I consider midrange an archetype because it focuses on value trades and having the most board presence, whereas Aggro gets its power from dealing as much face damage as possible and Control focuses on keeping the enemy's board clean up to the point where they can play a powerful card or use a combo to win the game. That being said, combo decks are often just subdivisions of control decks and, when it comes down to the Quests, Aggro and/or Midrange as well. Of course, there are decks that serve as something of a middle line between two archetypes, like Taunt Warrior being in-between Midrange and Control and Zoolock being in-between Aggro and Midrange.
I've been playing a lot of taunt warrior and the only deck that's has beaten me is a few midrange hunters and a few quest rogues
I've tried a couple taunt warrior decks, but I seem to keep getting matched against Priests and the long game doesn't seem to favor warrior in that case...

Ehm, I was playing Priest Purify decks for a while and I ALWAYS lose to taunt warriors, I just can't build up fast enough before quest, and even if I can, he brawls/execute any threats.

I think he's talking more the value priest that may or may not include the divine spirit inner fire package, but does include a lot of steal cards and lyra the sunshade.
When I play quest rogue I meet 5 aggro hunters in a row. Then I get pissed off and switch to hunter and straight up get matched 5 games in a row vs taunt warrior. This is impossible for me .I dont know how i can ever climb with this roullete matchmaking finding me the most powerful deck against my deck every fucking time.

I know its early days but its starting to feel like a Rock Paper Scissors meta to me
For example (so not a definitive list) so please expand / discuss.
-Aggro hunter beats quest Rogue
-Taunt warrior beats aggro hunter
-Quest mage beats taunt warrior
-Quest rogue beats quest Mage
Does this show that Blizzard finally balanced the game or is that a stretch to far :)
edited as some people cant seem to see the bit now in bold and underlined !
I don't see how Mage could ever lose to Rogue without bricking hard.

It's more like a Rock, Paper, Scisors, Phasor, Spock meta, my add Kirk and a klingon in there too. So in otherwords it's more complex then that.
There are still too many decks being pllayed to simplify things down to rock paper, scissors.

It's been Rock Paper Scissors since mean streets.
i mean, that's what hearthstone is supposed be though, quick mindless matches with some fun rng
if you want game deciding decisions and actual thinking try out mtg,Shadowverse,Gwent, or Faeria.
No, msg was a rock-paper/scissors

Considering that rank 5 and up is full of all types of decks right now, not just the four you mentioned, no you are way off.
