In truth, my goal wasn't even to hit legend this season, especially after getting it last season. I just wanted to get to Rank 5 and experiment in this new meta. Yet, I piloted a slightly refined version of control Paladin to legend after I hit a big streak with it from rank 5 to 3. Had some trouble in ranks 2 and 1, bounced around a little and floated around a 50% win rate, but ended up hitting another tear after reaching rank 1 for the 3rd time, going 7-2 into legend. Pretty proud of myself this month. Next month, planning to do it again.
Went for double legend again this month, peaked at rank L17 in wild with water rogue, was messing around in standard and ended up reaching legend with beast/water druid.

Well, managed to coast into Rank 2... I think tonight the super tryhard push is gonna happen. Token Druid has been a blast to play and tinker with though, and I'm actually excited so far my experiment seems to be working (no Pirates, because a 2/3 crab is a lot easier to deal with than a 3/4 crab). Praying to RNGesus for a small amount of Taunt Warrior since that just feels like the worst matchup known to man, everything else feels winnable.

Hey guys! I am currently on rank 5 and i got a question for you
Yesterday i made a win streak of 6 consecutive wins and i got no additional stars for it. O_o Last season i reached 4th rank and i think there were extra stars for a streak. Could you guys tell me, do we get additional stars for winning in a row on rank 5 and higher or not?
After a few days I'm still in the same position, rank 2 0 stars. I just can't break past it, and if feels like I can't do anything differently in most of my games since midrange hunter is such a straight forward deck. Any tips?

Switch to a different deck if you can't climb with the same deck 2-3 days in a row....

Or at least take a look to see if there are cards in your build that may or may not be helping, though I realize Midrange Hunter isn't exactly super flexible with builds since it's generally just running a bunch of "good stuff". I'd hesitate to suggest a complete switch just because generally getting in a groove with a list has its own merits, but if the meta has just been consistently bad for it then maybe it really does require a swap.

I can't afford any other top tier decks, unless I want to play zoo which isn't the strongest.
First off, congrats! That's an awesome accomplishment.
Second, could you share your build? I rolled Quest Warrior for the first 20 days, got to Rank 2 5 stars and then hit an absolute wall, so much so that I was convinced the meta had passed Quest Warrior by. Curious to know what worked for you in this harsher meta for this deck. Cheers, and congrats again!
Made it to Legend for the first time, really quite happy, was a real grind, lots of frustration (was trying all month) and probably won't go for it again. I used many different decks, but this deck took me smoothly from rank 4 to legend in two days.
The deck used does very very well against Pirate Warrior and Murloc Paladin, which is why I used it.
First off, congrats! That's an awesome accomplishment.

I run a standard version without ss/sb and 1 Armorsmith 2 ww 1 Direhorn.
Armorsmith is your mvp against aggro and mage. I think one is enough.
Just want to say that after all those ups and downs, and these losing streaks that made me doubt myself, I FINALLY HIT LEGEND!!!
I started playing today from rank 3 and went 21-8 on the push, finally reaching legend. I stuck to the same midrange hunter I was playing all along, and it finally happened. Thanks to everyone on this sub for keeping me going
I made a tryhard climb Thursday night and peaked at Rank 1... then fell down to Rank 3. I did however get a friend request from someone and we just BS'ed while we both laddered, so that was a cool outcome. They also reached Legend the next day, so at least one of us succeeded. :)
Tonight I think I'm going to scrap the Token Druid list I've been tinkering with since it's got such heavily polarized matchups in favor of something that's a little more balanced; I really do like Druid a lot, so I'll probably just take a crack at Jade Druid since it actually seems pretty well poised to win most of the matchups out there now.

Managed it today, but man is the final day of ladder a boring grind. In about 100 games I didn't face a single off-meta deck, everyone ran straight up tier 1/2 netdeck lists, 80% aggro to rank up quicker of course. On top of that the rank 1 grind took like 2 hours longer than it should due to a bad luck streak (Die Insect hitting face across a full board, topdeck Hydra into Hydra into Living Mana, Rogue finishing and prepping out quest on turn 3) and a queue bug that upon hitting the play button disconnected me from Hearthstone, and after restarting I had lost TWO stars.
68% winrate with the deck across the entire season, quite happy with that :D

Who's the Beatdown?
Got to Legend this season with a Dragon Priest deck.
Who says dragons are dead?

For the first time I made it with a smooth 14-4 at the end!
With quest warrior. I'm so happy!
