They will be losing their 1, 2, 3 (they already lost Velen's Chosen), 4, and two of their 5 drops. Dragon priest as we know it will be dead. Maybe a heavy control variant will rise using Twilight Drake and either Defender of Argus or Sunfury Protectorbut that's not what the deck is suited for. Without their taunts they will lose to aggro and dragon priest almost always loses to control anyways with any Kazakus deck being horrible for it.
Yeah, I was playing my home brew Priest deck last night on Standard Ladder, Rank 15, against Dragon Priest. My deck has stuff like Tournament Medic and Priest of the Feast. The game was okay, he was probably going to win, he had a lead on the board, but I still had a chance. Then he played Brann+DO on Turn 8. I just conceded. I thought "What's the point"?
This and other new power cards just feel very oppressive. Power creep has rendered the game extremely un-fun. Think I've finally lost interest after a year and two months of constant play.
Its strong card, but not OP. Why would it be OP? It is of course annoying to play against, but that is the whole priest (and rogue) class with all the steals and mind controls. Annoying does not equal OP.
I can't believe people are still salty about this card. It's one of the most ridiculous, childish complaints I have ever seen.
If you think it's so powerful, play Dragon Priest for a while. You'll soon come up with a long list of other cards and decks to complain about.
Yea Dragon priest is not that good, so now what ?
Drakonid Operative as a card alone is OP and thats the problem, really anyone could see that. We could also give Hunters Tirion Fordring but it wouldnt make the class good or give them a "good" deck, does that mean Tirion is bad now too ?
No, it's not OP -- especially as a standalone card. If you don't have Dragons, it does absolutely nothing.
And Hunter with Tirion Fordring would utterly destroy the meta beyond anything we've ever seen in Hearthstone. If you can't see that, maybe you should learn a little more about how the classes work before commenting on the game design.

Yo guys, remember when Blizzard said Drakonid Operative was created to make priest relevant until the next expansion? Remember that pre-raza and Drakonid dragon priest was Purify meme priest? How about you go play some pre-MSoG priest on the present ladder before you go complaining about the one of the few cards that helped the class

Wants to play Captain Cookie Druid because why not?
Really? I mean really? Dragon priest OP? Wtf you talking about..... Yes dragon priest is a simple and easy deck to play, but really it is nothing compared to jade druid, jade shaman, pirate warrior, Reno mage and lock
nope, thats not what i said. I said Drakonid is Overpowered, not Dragon priest itself.
If youre not saying PREIST is overpowered, why would you want PREIST as a whole to rotate out?
Well it's a great card and there are still alot of strong dragons control priest can use, so I highly doubt it's going away just because of twilight welp and wyrmrest agent leaving.

welp, wyrmrest, technician, guardian, azure drake and corrupter are leaving, thats their ideal turn 1-5. There can be some late game synergy with ysera and operative and maybe twilight drake, but for it to be decent, it will have to be very different than what we are currently seeing.
I notice that the general message in delivered by this thread is that Drakonid Operative is OP. While i generally agree, let's continue this in the existing 47 page thread.

I hope priest will take over the meta one day! Priest is love priest is life! GO PRIEST!

Literally the first powerful card Priest gets in several expansions, and people are still whining about it. Stay salty, OP. Stay salty.
It has the potential to become stronger depending on what new dragons get released.

Drakonid Operative needs to be nerfed
