not sure Secret Paladin was an Aggro deck. Always considered it more of a midrange deck. Especially since it's signature play was turn 6 mysterious challenger. It was definitely one of the most hated decks of it's meta. But those aren't always Aggro (patron Warrior pre-nerf also fits that bill)
you know you should make a differentiation between face hunter and huntertaker, the former used Unleash the Hounds,Starving Buzzard and Hunter's Mark to punish opponents and keeping thema way from playing minions, and it was waaay different to the Undertaker list, particularly because uth was nerfed to 3 mana before Undertaker was released, and huntertaker was far faaar faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar more cancerous than 2 mana uth+2 mana buzzard facehunter.
I voted Face Hunter, or as I know it. Huntard. Actually, I don't remember running into that much after Naxx and I think that got nerfed pretty quick.
I remember the 2 mana Starving Buzzard being the cancer hunter that really plagued the game, often with an OTK end rush of beasts.
Turn 5 Warrior hasn't been around long enough to really judge but looks like it bricks a lot. Any deck that has a game that decided by turn 5 weather you win or lose is pretty much the worst thing ever. Aggro Shaman seems to be taking the top Aggro Spot again too. Which means we are no longer in a one Aggro deck to rule them all meta...because we are in a two Aggro deck to rule them all meta. I think there is enough building outrage (among Streamers and Pros bcus that is who Blizzard actually listens to) that Small-Time Buccaneer or Patches are definitely going to see a nerf though. Hopefully, Blizzards learns from this, but they wont.
To explain hunter taker, Watch the game where Trump loses while playing mage with Flame Leviathan. He manages to draw it turn 3, clears at least 5 minion leaves an undertaker as a 3/2, but still loses... That is disgusting.
If you didn't have an answer for T1 undertaker it would be a 3/4 immediately after which was undoable. Undertaker is the reason all self buff cards created either don't buff health or are bad.
The correct answer is zoo. Each of the other decks listed were meta-encompassing for the majority of no more than two expansion periods, at most. Zoo has been a Tier 1 or Tier 2 deck since ALPHA. For one aggro deck to manage to survive over two years of a game that's come out with SEVEN expansions...I cannot at any point in any card game I've ever played (of which I have played many) think of one deck design that's actually been that strong for that long of a timeframe with that many card changes being released in the process.
Zoo is the literal definition of cancer. No matter how much kemo or medication Blizzard throws at the game...nothing has yet to kill it. The best the game's managed so far is in the current meta, where warlocks have gone from zoo to Reno control. But, just wait. It's still sitting there, festering, growing and waiting to rise again to make all of us groan in pain and agony when we look across from our mages and druids and warriors tohear "Your soul shall suffer".
The most cancerous decks in hearthstone's history were miracle rogue (beta) and face hunter (post naxx). Hands down. Pirate Warrior and Patron and Shaman don't even come close, we need to stop complaining about them.
1. Face Hunter - there's a reason like half the cards from the original build have been nerfed. Completely ridiculous.
2. Face Shaman - not Old Gods/Karazhan, but pre-Standard because of Crackle alone. As brainless as Face Hunter, except they had to do basic subtraction to deal with the overload.
3. Zoo - Especially the very stupid variations of Hand-Vomit-Lock. Nothing about the deck is interesting, and watching someone misplay almost every turn but not be punished because they catered to it in design with overly strong crap...just stupid. As above post suggested, if we're talking duration rather than point in time, then this is 1a.
Of the others: Pirate Warrior is as stupid and brainless as Face Hunter/Shaman, but has at least some counters. Secret Paladin wasn't so much aggro as play the highest number card in the hand that's glowing each turn. I liked Mech Mage - that was a cool little aggro deck to me. Had a nice play style, never overpowered, not rocket science but not brainless. Secret Hunter, most of the Druid (Beast, super token, egg, Fel Reaver aggro), and most aggro Paladin have also been anywhere from tolerable to really cool to me.

Reassess your failings as a human being, acknowledge that your statement is false, and move on with your life. Zoo is the healthiest aggro deck, and also harder to play than most of the others. Your statement is incorrect.
I've never understood why Zoo is considered aggro. Isn't it just aggressive midrange? You make trades frequently, play around AOE, and fight for the board. Sure your curve ends at 5 mana, but a lot of other midrange decks stop at 6 mana (with the exception of Ragnaros).
In true aggro, you very rarely make trades or play around anything. You just go face. I would say Aggro Shaman is my least favorite to play against. It the most unlike other aggro decks because it also runs huge cheap minions and taunts, whereas most aggro just has a bunch of small stuff.
1: Pre nax uth/buzzard hunter. This utterly broken 4-mana combo benefitted the midrange deck as well, so a class has never been more dominant on the ladder, and hopefully never will. It was an awful time to play! Even the hunter mirrors were frustrating.
2: Huntertaker.
3: Double doomhammer aggro shaman
4: Late beta mur-lock, dominated top ladder (personal opinion)
5: Zoo lock in strong periods (original, undertaker/egg, imp-lotion/gang boss.)
Secret Paladin isn't a Aggressive deck, it's a Midrange On-Curve deck with overpowered cards. I'm not sure i would call the old Mech Mage an Aggressive deck either, it's was more of a Tempo deck with a lot of burst.
1. Face Hunter with Undertaker (aka. Huntertaker): This deck is MOST DEFINITLEY the strongest of the Aggressive decks we ever had, anyone that believe otherwise obviously wasn't playing at that time.
2. Face Shaman: This deck takes the second place on my list, not only does it have openers that are almost as busted as the old Face Hunter's (a 1/3 for one that gets stronger and a 3/4 for 2) but it also seems to be very hard to nerf. Even though Blizzard Nerfed Rockbiter and Abusive Sergent and we had Crackle (one of their main burst cards) rotate out - it still seems to live even in the new MSG meta. (some even say that it's currently the strongest deck - it also has the ability to beat Pirate Warrior)
3. Pirate Warrior with Patches: This deck has some of the most disgusting opening you'll ever see, on turn one (with coin) it can make two 1/1's a 3/2 and have a 1/3 weapon. It might not be one of the strongest Aggressive decks, but it's VERY boring to play against as it always has the same playstyle.
- In my opinion ZooLock is one of the most healthy aggressive decks in the game - it has specific counters, and it's also slightly focused on board-control. (also it's harder to play it well than the other Aggressive decks) You should probably add the (very) ancient MurLock to the list too (even though a lot of people don't know about it)
Zoo and secret paladin are not aggro.. but anyway, I think the strongest one was face hunter back then.. hunter will always have the best potential because of the hero power..

Based on all the metas, which one had the worst aggro deck?
Face Hunter. Even if you stabilized, Steady Shot put you on a clock.
The Face Shaman right before Old Gods was worse than the one during Old Gods.
1. Pirate Warrior
2. Face Hunter
3. Face Shaman
4. Secret Paladin
5. Mech Mage

Secret Paladin is not an aggro deck
I don't hate any of these decks for being aggro, but face hunter and mech mage could pull out a victory out of nowhere.

It was slightly more powerful but it never got above tier 2 before Old Gods because a lot of decks were more then slightly more powerful.

Speaking of murlocks, this one can still kill on turn 4!
