So over the last 5 months I have consistently been reaching rank 4+ every season with Tempo Mage. Since I am in school I don't like to strive for legend since I don't have the time. Now I have tried to play other decks but I can't get past rank 10 with them. I feel like I completely understand Tempo Mage. So when MSG comes out the meta is bound to change so Tempo Mage might not even be that great in comparison to everything else plus FlameWalker rotates out soon. What should I play in the next set?
Too soon to know, many cards to be revealed yet, and it's really hard to know now which decks will be best until we actually get the expansion and try the new stuff... Just chill and keep playing what you please till then :D
Well any decks you can recommend based on Tempo Mage. To a certain extent I believe it's the person who pilots the deck not the deck. Shaman gives me no problem because I feel comfortable with this deck
Anything people say rn is hypothetical because it's not anything concrete yet, however in my opinion GG paladin, Reno mage, Reno/dragon priest, and due to not knowing some of the jade cards yet, jade golem decks certainly have potential depending on what's released.
It's way too early too see what the "meta" decks will be since all of the cards haven't been released yet. However, by the looks of it, I think the new version of Tempo mage will be driven by the new secret synergies. In addition, I think that the new "OP" decks will be a version Grimy Goon mid-range paladin, and the Jade Golem decks
If you feel comfortable with tempo mage and midrange shaman, just play whatever the braindead curvestone deck du jour is.
I'm bad with midrange shaman. Like really bad I can't get past rank 10 with that guy. As much as people don't like shaman if you suck you wont get far even with tier 1 decks. (Yes I am saying I suck with shaman)

I gotchu, man. Back in the day, I literally could NOT play Face Hunter. I'd be like Face? But there's so much more value if I trade! Then I'd run out of steam cuz it's Face Hunter.
And Tempo Mage is not Curvestone, you want to save your Flamewaker until he can get a metric ton of free damage off.
So there was a legend player here that goes by the name of MadSkillPhil (Sorry If I slaughtered your name) I did a build similar to his and came up with this. So far it has taken me from rank 7 no starts to 5 with 3 stars no loses. I learned how to play against control warrior and using ArchMage to get infinite Fireballs. Those were my hardest match ups and now I am beating them.
What about Zoolock? Zoolock is at least Tier2 deck in every meta. Latest Discard Zoo is tempo-based deck so you should feel rather comfortable with it if you really like Tempo Mage. Standard build costs now about 1200 dust (only common and rare cards).

Tempo mage might get you to legend, during the first month, due to disorder from deck testings.

Brawlin Brawlin Brawlin!
Explosive Shot => Meteor
Power Word: Tentacles => Spikeridged Steed

When flamewaker rotates, just sub in demented frostcaller. problem solved.
