I'd be down with some change like that, even though I've always hated playing as or against priest, I think it'll be pretty satisfying to play post December
Like I said there, this kind of thread just makes me to create an aggro deck right after the expansion is out, just to prove you wrong. As well as that I think it won't be difficult, as aggro will never die. It needs to be there, to keep greedy control decks in check.
Blizzard is showing that they are paying attention and they're trying to add control pieces. It's a good thing and will hopefully bring some balance back to the game so we don't see over-saturation by tempo decks in standard. The game was far more fun when aggro, midrange, and control shared spots in the meta. None of the pieces we've seen so far will make control the top dog, though. They'll simply make control playable for more than 1 class.
Totally agree with you, that's it! That's what I'm trying to say.
Priest will never be able to dominate in the same way that aggro has, because while aggro has historically had very few counters, there has always been an easy counter to Priest: OTK. Malygos Rogue, Anyfin Paladin, etc.
If anything we might actually get a balanced rock-paper-scissors metagame.
Aggro meta has been dead for a while. Since WOTG it's more about tempo plays and big explosive plays. You either do several tempo swings like MidShaman/Dragon Warrior/Casino mage, or drop giant bombs in the form of Cthun/Nzoth/Yogg/COTW/anyfin for second tier decks. Aggro shaman/hunter/zoo has persisted, but they are still far from dominant.
Exactly my thought. I thought Blizz was moving towards a control meta (what we think every expansion) but WHAM! Look! We now have cards like Grimestreet Outfitter and Smuggler's Run. It seems like whenever they buff Control its a pre-requisite to buff Aggro more than Control.
Aggro will never die, lets get that straight, removal determinds how dominant aggro will be. It all comes down to the amount of removal they created in this expension.
Can someone who is not as lazy as I am find the literally same statement about the Naxxramas? "With the Deathlord and Sludge Belcher FaceHunter and Zoolock will stand no chance and we'll have a control meta." And then people figured out that Undertaker was a really good card...

Looking at the cards it looks like the meta in Hearthstone could shift drastically.
We are heading to a game where hardline control could ruthlessly quell any attempt of minions to gather on the board.
Where the multi-species mix of creatures played by the likes of Zoo decks are swept away to make room for the hegemony of white blonde priest minions.
A new state of game where opposing large minions will likely be whisked into the opponents deck for the crime of being the opposition.
...wait what were talking about again?

Should you craft/disenchant (Golden) Sylvanas or Ragnaros?
Find out in the: ULTIMATE dust guide for Hall of Fame cards
No, control meta will never exist, and aggro will not die.

We're getting a control meta? I've never heard that one before...
Combo decks are what keep greedy control decks in check, not aggro decks. I love when people repeat things they hear even if they're wrong

“I’M A SHADOW, ONE THAT NO LIGHT WILL SHINE ON. AS LONG AS YOU FOLLOW ME, YOU WILL NEVER SEE THE DAY.”
Both Reno and Aggro are cancer!
as long as not every match is against reno mage (because thats just pure cancer to play against) or is 30 min long its fine imo
People say this every expansion, and it never happens, so logically I think it won't happen.
I'd like a change like that. Finally some chances for handlock etc.
What are you looking at? Oh right, my signature...
like FINALLY?

It's going to be a midrange meta, not control.
