How you gonna deal with it when the early game moves out? Shaman's only lost like tuskarr totemic and totem golem but they are just going to substitute it with other cards like claws and stuff. Unless they get nerfed, we will see it more and more. Prepare a card like Overloadeater 4 mana 2/4 Battlecry: Eat all your opponent's overloads. Gain +1/+1 for each mana crystal overloaded
Problem solved lo
They also lost Tunnel trogg and Lava Shock.
shaman's only Early game minion left is 4 mana 7/7
I'm predicting a new very aggressive hunter deck will be played a lot simply because since naxx there has been a successful version of face hunter. We had undertaker hunter which was super aggressive, then face hunter which was super aggressive, then "hybrid hunter" which was face hunter with highmane and now "midrange hunter" which still shares 2/3 of it's cards with face hunter and is still incredibly aggressive. Pair this with the fact that everyone flocks to aggro decks when changes happen because they are easier to play and more consistent than trying to figure out which new cards are good and I'm expecting face hunter to be back and stronger than ever.
I really hope Blizzard releases a lot of good heal cards and some taunts because with Reno and Justicar gone even Warrior will have trouble keeping up with all the aggro decks.
Yes all these cards will rotate out, and then for around 1 month we can play where people play innovative decks and then we can quit again until next expansion... :D
Yes those staples are meta defining. No, the game won't be bad when they rotate out just different. A shifting meta is good for everyone. We can not evaluate what it will look like until we see the new cards. No class is losing anything so crucial- that's what the classic set is for.
i spended alot of time to get that dragon deck without using my prepaid card and now that i made it they come to tell me ups you will go back to play with basic cards on standard mode or you will go on wild and you will face monsters and expansions that you didnt even had the time to see them cause we already removed them before you join the game ..... cmon Blizzard ...
You can't cry over what we are going to lose when we still don't know what we are going to gain!!
i agree about that but this is only for the streamers with tones of donates and money or other pay to play users for the free users or the ppl that start over the game now this thing is bad.Cause they spend time and dust/gold to buy things that 2-3 months after will begone to wild format and on the standard they will have to work over again from the start to build something ...
That's how standard rotation works... Blizzard has been very upfront with this business model since April before old gods launched. It's not like you can't use the cards that rotating, just have to play wild.
Well first of all of those cards can still be plaed in wild. I know you are refeering to standard, and i do believe it will be fine. Personally i believe cards like Thaurissan, Reno and Brann fits perfectly into the wild scene. Sure i will miss them, but i do look forward to a scene without otk, and crazy stuff. I mean right now there is not that big incentive to play wild. My bet is that with those crazy cards in wild that mode will be increasingly popular. Standard will change of course, there will be broken seasons and balanced seasons, but i look forward to the changes. New types of decks, new tiers. Its an interesting time to play hs.
Agree 100%. I think Wild takes a huge step forward next year with tournaments being offered in both Wild and Standard modes.

but playing wild still means that you already lost a tone of expansions and cards if you are starting now and every1 playing there will destroy you in few rounds this is not right too
i believe there must be always a chance to get the cards expansions you want whenever you want cuase making dust its not that easy for new players and ofc its not easy to build up a worth deck too.I am personaly a free user and i was trying to craft adragon priest deck for about the whole year ..... and yes i started the game at the start of the year just from doing daily missions etc ...

I honestly don't disagree with you in that everything should still be purchasable from the shop. One day, you likely will be able to purchase wild expansions and adventures, maybe through specials or a wild store. However, I think you need to temper your expectations of what you'll be getting out of the game as f2p. Blizzard makes the free to play model a grind because they want to make opening your wallet seem like the obvious choice. They have no obligation to make things easier for their f2p "customers", and want you playing standard to buy new cards. Blizzard owes you less than nothing, as they've entertained you for several hours, and you've spent nothing. If you really enjoy the game enough to post on hearthpwn about it, why not consider spending some money, and get the adventures or some packs?

the main reason pepole dont play wild is because they cant get those ''crazy'' cards from packs they have to craft them which mean making a new wild gimmick deck will take you over a few mounthes just to craft the cards.
the only way pepole will even try wild is if blizzared will keep those cards and adventures in the store

I won't really be affected. I play wild primarily. Looking forward to more cards going into the ever-increasing card pool.
It will be like Magic Legacy format, except I already have all the staples and won't be chasing after cards that can't be reprinted.
Bad players whine.
Good players adapt.
