So WotOG have been out for 2-3 weeks, I guess I can grasp just how good is C'thun by now.
C'thun has been really good for f2p the decks costing really little overral (tried in an alternate account and had decent success) of course you should have the veklor twins for better decks.. But it's solid enough for the f2p without him.
C'thun druid seems the strongest as everyone expected he got the best curve with the C'thun minions and got the ramp to use C'thun earlier than anyone else.
C'thun Warrior seens the 2nd strongest C'thundeck, gaining 10 armor for 7 and a 6/6 is insanely strong, they also can control the game till C'thun hits.
C'thun Mage seems like a decent idea overral saw it in action and I think it might have potential.
I saw exacly 0 C'thun Rogues.
C'thun warlock should work mainly with reno? I guess if at all.. Maybe someone will find a zooey C'thudeck(?)
C'thun shaman although having no support could work with evolution archtype since almost all C'thun cards are battlecries, but I still didn't see much of it.
C'thun priest.. I saw comments about it being weak in the forums I don't think it's too good either.
Hunter and paladin looks like a bad idea.
Also overral pure C'thun decks where you throw all supporters don't work.. The 2/3 is clearly bad, also the 3/4 is a tempo loss I would say they won't make it to the refined llists(also said it though ALL pre-WOG disscussions)
It was obvious the moment you saw the acolytes, in what class they might work and what synergies they might have,it was also obvious that if you put all acolytes in one deck it would suck hard. And also obvious that the first few days of the expansion the plebs will invade with all acolytes decks.
Don't take after the plebhype or most streamers that are worse than plebs*sellouts*,they are mostly always wrong, over-glorifing situational/win more/unreliable cards.
C'Thun is a wonderful archetype so far, f2p players, experience ones, everyone can try and have chances. I think it's a bit boring and repetitive, always the same curve, C'thun, revival etc. but all and all, good addition.

Me? You will face beast druid, zoolock, or patron.
Hybrid C'thun decks are more fun.. You have more options and it's stronger too.. 6 buffing minions are enough.
C'Thun Druid is really the only good C'Thun deck imo, and it wins DESPITE C'Thune - in other words it is probably better off using traditional tools... like every other class is starting to realize.
From the newcomer/f2p point of view it makes sense to have an ok deck easily made with a minimum of card collecting required. It is honestly the most boring decks you'll ever face tho. More so even than Secret Pally imho. The saving grace is that they're all easy to beat with a half decent deck.
I wish (and expect) most Cartoon-decks be gone from Hearthstone. The sooner the better.
Are you guys joking? I can understand that you might loose against aggro with C'thun, but playing any kind of non-C'Thun Control-decks when literally every second player on ladder plays C'thun Druid and all the other guys play C'Thun Warrior is just impossible. The Card is already in my top 5 most annoying Cards ever.
And dont get me wrong, whilst i like the idea that the f2p guys have easy access to a powerful archetype it seems to me that it is to powerful. Because if you are like me and like to play Control but dont like to play C'thun, because quite frankly it is not fun to play, you are boned. Play Priest. Nep, sure Dragonpriest is a thing, but also the most boring deck in the entire game by a country-mile. Play Warrior without Cthun. Not happening, because guess what, without the ancient Shieldbearer you don't have enough healthgain, especially against C'Thun decks. Play Paladin, sure that works and i like the N'zoth version but i would like to have a couple more options. Saved an execute and en enabler for Cthun? Well you better have held on to a second pair because Doomcaller, sometimes he comes back even a third time! Or you can take a fifty-fifty brawl against a 20/20 minion, sounds like fun.
Do i sound salty? Yes, because i am. This card is nuts, a one-card combo boardclear and potential OTK. If your deck doesnt have the ability to pressure and burst the opponent down you might as well call it a day and concede right away.
I think C'thun Druid is by far the strongest C'thun deck. Still I don't think going full-c'thun is the best option. I think hybrid between ramp and c'thun is the most viable option for druid, having only few C'thun buffers.

A solid N'Zoth Control deck of any class, is going to shit on C'Thun decks... C'Thun decks have jack for threat density when trying to play a Fatigue game.
Well I think that C'thun archtype has to work pretty well because they invested to many of a set to make it a thing. And I craftedTwin Emperor Vek'lor so I hope it will work well :)
And I belive that they mighttt maybe relese a new cycle of C'thun related cards in a future set to complete the circle... Right now 4 classes have C'thun cards and maybe in a next set they could make C'thun cards for rest of a classes, so the other 5 classes could play c'thun in standard Maybeee I'm just speculating:)
I play a C'thun shaman, i use some of the bests shaman's tools, specialy early-one, and it work pretty well. Its not necessary to put in the deck too much C'thun tools, just the best ones, the "two for one" or the "snowball ones".
I know some classes have more succes with this archetype, but it's pretty good. With Trogg & Golem i can get ahead some traditionnal deck, zoo, deathrattle hunt, C'thun warrior & priest, and then C'thun worshipper, Azur Drake, Fire Elemental and twins emperor came for continue to make pressure, until game is close, sometimes with C'thun.
*Shadow* C'Thun Priest, OTOH, is both a stronger deck and way more fun to play. Having the Twilight Darkmenders really helps - 20 healing with no Reno bullcrap is always very handy. It is still significantly weaker than C'thuid decks and has the usual problems handling aggro, but it's still worth a try if you like SP.

"Regular" C'thun priest also runs Twilight darkmender...
Also, priest is much more anti aggro than C'thuid and also happens to crush C'thuid decks. Priest has 100x better removal and card draw. I struggle to see how C'thuid is better than C'thun priest.
I think the best c'thun decks are the ones that have an alternate win condition then just condition, at the moment I think c'thun warrior is actually the strongest because not only is c'thun a win condition, they can also beat you in a fatigue game and I have seen some that also pack grommash and elise starseeker. I think the most interesting c'thun decks are going to be the ones that actually don't even need c'thun in order to win and with a bit more experimentation I think more decks like this will be created. I wonder if someone would even be able to make a more midrange c'thun deck or even a more aggressive deck rather than just being a control deck. I see all the time comments saying that c'thun decks are boring, but to be honest what I have found more boring is dying on turn 6 to an aggro deck, Its fun for the aggro player, it is not very fun for the guy on the receiving end of getting their face bashed in.
The Klaaxi Whatchamacallit always ruins my day when I play against C'Thuid. A 4-10 is nightmarishly difficult for a Priest to get rid of now unless you're willing to spend an Entomb on a 4 drop. Druids can just drop so much beef so quickly with these decks that even Priests can't keep up.
You are 100% right that Priest has the best hard removal and card draw. I do drop the Northshires from my SP for obvious reasons, but Loot Hoarder isn't a horrible replacement. Clearly worse, but not horrible.

Bump.. No opinions? Weird I can understand nobody interested in my standard secret pally but no opinions on C'thun?
Priest is terrible yes. Warlock works really well with Reno. I've actually seen a few reno rogues as well.
This was expected starting from day1.

Hahaha,rogue c'thun,yeah right.
The 1st step towards a better game is firing Mike Donais! We had enough of his "skillful" balances!
#FireMikeDonais
I hope I won't face you in the ladder :P

You have to draw it for it to be viable. To me that leads to a big issue with using it on the regular.
Sure, the support cards are good in early/mid game, but if you don't draw the C'Thun to finish, you will lose.

C'Thun decks can become more powerfull if they go more hybrid and throw out the bad C'thun cards that they run just because they buff C'Thun (like Twilight Geomancer, Crazed Worshipper andDoomcaller)
Wimmy wam wam wazzle!

I'm not very happy with C'Thun decks as I rarely mange to pull C'Thun himself from my deck.
