What are your initial impressions of Druid in Standard?
Are there any Druid decks that you love to play as?
Are there any Druid decks you can't stand playing against?
•What are your initial impressionsof druid in standard. I think that druid will be a popular class in standard. Cthun druid is a good deck and some other druid decks might be viable.
•Are there any druid decks that you love playing as? Currently I have been climbing the ladder with a beast druid deck.
•Are there any druid decks that you can't stand to play against. Not at all.
•What are some must craft cards? Fandral Staghelm, Dark Arakkoa, and wrath.
Worth noting that I've played a bunch of games in Standard with every class except Shaman, and so far Druid has my second highest win rate. I've played a bunch of beast Druid and C'thun Druid, and both did well. I think Druid is very strong and fits my play style nicely.
I'm doing better with Warrior, though. C'thun control has so much armor gain (especially with Bran) and Patron Warrior is very good against all these aggro decks flooding the ladder.
In my opinion, C'Thun seems to have dethroned the Force of NatureSavage Roar combo of old, and it's not even that autoinclude, given it's archetype specific. The latter combo disappearing was a miracle.
Traditionally, Druids are made for long games with loads of fatties & removals...
With C'Thun's arrival I can say that Druid has hit the sweet spot once more, able to withstand long games with Dark Arakkoa really revisiting the essence of the classic Druid...
I've always loved playing Druids (even in WoW!) and I am glad they removed the combo. Now we can finally get some new cool cards! In this set, I really like Fandral. Playing him with even just a Raven Idol feels like borderline cheating!
I think typical ramp Druid is really underestimated. Everyone's obsessing over C'Thun Druid but ramp is still very strong. Fandral is absolutely crazy in the right deck.
What are your initial impressions of Druid in Standard?
The class will have an identity again with intresting builds, instead of one.
Are there any Druid decks that you love to play as?
I've been playing a beast druid deck with soul of the forest (similar to egg druid), dabbled in savage roar, and used C'thun druid at least once.
Are there any Druid decks you can't stand playing against?
I honestly find C'thun druid to be incredibly terrifying but dull to play against, also when a druid has a turn 2 innervate into astral communion as a player who doesn't have removal for every stink-en turn.... you get plowed over most of the time.
Well my initial impression is that druid is in a weak state right now. I was happy combo got nerfed. It was boring as heck. Druid has always been my favorite class. I just can't find a competitive deck in today's meta. With combo gone and ancient of lore and keeper, it simply isn't nearly as good as it was and has a hard time competing with the top classes.
There are some really fun decks, like beast druid, super ramp, and fandrall fun. But none of them have succeeded on ladder much for me. Simply put druid will not be seen on the competitive scene I already Harley ever see it on ladder.
Must crafts I would say fandral. But again if you have limited dust, and are looking for a good ladder deck I would choose another class, druid just isn't a top class these days.
Seems to suck. I'm always happy if I meet a druid.
I feel the same way, always happy to see a druid, when I see pally or warlock, I'm like crap here comes a super annoying match up. There is not a druid deck right now that is super threatening. It and Hunter seem to suck the most right now

I disagree I think druid has some pretty fun builds in standard.
Ramp druid: classic druid ramp into late game and crush people with giant minions before they can deal with it. The addition of Mire keeper helps with ramp and makes the deck that much better. I have been playing a ramp deck with Fandral and it has been fun and effective. I reached rank 8 on ladder so far this month with it. Of course it struggles with board flood decks like zoo, but as long as swipe shows up ican have a good chance to win.
C'thun: probably the most consistent of any druid build currently. Has a great curve, dark aroka is huge in this deck. Being able to get to your twin emperors and c'thun first with ramp is huge and doesn't need a big c'thun to finish. Often for me it's 9/9 to 12/12 c'thun that puts it away for me.
Token druid: a lot of fun, and with savage roar can be very deadly. Maybe not super consistent but can end game very fast with double savage roar.
Fandral: I actually had a nice win streak on ladder with a Fandral centered deck. With mostly choose one cards and could actually win without him. But this is admittedly the weakest druid deck I have played.
Beast druid. Improved with Mark of yasaarj. This deck has nice fast tempo and with savage roar it can be deadly. It was decent on ladder and is alot of fun to play.
Druid does not have that one powerful deck anymore. But it does have a variety of playable decks which have been a lot of fun to try out. I think druid is in a fine state.
Despite being strong Druid is pretty bad right now, a class with really no hard removal (Mulch is really bad and don't get me started on naturalize because Naturalize helps your oppoent more thna it helps you so those 2 don't count) barely any decent AoE (they don't use swipe because it's good, you use swipe because there's no other option) the only viable option is c'thun druid and Tbh i've been asking myself why the hell dark Arakkoa gives +3/+3 to DC'thun and came to the realization that at some point during development the card had to give +2/+2 and wasn't worth playing and that's why they buffed it to its final stats/effecdt because if it gave +2/+2 c'thun druid would just be sucky.
does removing the combo give space for Creativity in druid decks?
Maybe in the future but at the moment with the limited card pool druid remains a one trick pony that isn't good for any other thing than his one and only trick.
I'm having a blast playing Hotform's Moonkin Miracle Druid with some minor modifications. Really good vs. any aggro/tempo/midrange deck. Lots of cheap boardclears and removal in the form of spelldamage + wrath/roots/moonfire. There is literally nothing this deck can't clear. Only problem is that it loses to miracle rogue (really popular right now unfortunately) and kinda annoying to play against zoo. Win condition is either elise or Yogg ("win" condition). Gadgetzan cycling helps you find your monkey and replaces your cheap useless removal spells in the lategame with legendaries to push for game.

Druid in Standard

Good. Without combo Druid come back as a full ramp archetype. Maybe we can see a toke druid in the future..
Druid is the only C'thun deck I'm trying at the moment. I'm having a blast playint it
Nope. for now if very nice.
Dark Arakkoa, Mire Keeper and Fandral Staghelm are doing wonders for me, each in a different deck.

I wish Valeera had tentacles for arms

Fandral Staghelm (I haven't gotten him, never lucky); Dark Arakkoa and any basic set card that includes Wrath, Druid of the claw, etc. Honorable mention is Addled Grizzly and Klaxxi Amber-Weaver.
