I attended a Fireside Gathering earlier this afternoon - the consensus appeared to be that Tess is the easiest of the Hunters to pilot to eight wins; Houndmaster is also pretty straightforward; Cannon Dude seems to work best with lots of whirlwind effects; Toki seems difficult to draft, as there isn't a lot of synergy between all her available picks, and her hero power is often "more sizzle, less steak" - it's useful for scouting enemy secrets, but if you get a favourable outcome from any random effect, you essentially lose your hero power for the turn, unlike the other Hunters, who really win their games off the strength of pushing the button every turn.
FWIW - I finished both Tess and Shaw on the second try; Cannon Dude on the fourth; and I've not yet finished Toki, 0-4, only making it to the final boss once . . .
Tracker is about manipulating your discovery pool for the boss you are facing. Try not to flood it with picks that will do very little. Second run through I beat it with her. There’s a trick to the final boss... spoiler below:
He runs Fel Reavers. Stash a bunch of small cheap spells for when he drops these. I timed it to also burn his Kingsbane for an easy win.
Cleared Tracker on the first run. Hero powder discount 1 use 2x is op.
Restore 2 hp,
discover a weapon from Tess' and equip 1/8 Windfury.
Use Cold Bloods and the cart that gives your weapon life-steal.
Use the Spider Trap spell and copy it. Use it again and control the board. Till you can kill your enemy. The wisp one was scary but once i could steal spirit slash it was ez.
Tess was my first try. Getting the right spell with the hero power is really strong. The echo spell to kill enemies is great. Use it at the right time in a game. Build a Jade deck. Because Jades are OP. No AI can handle Jades for a long time especially if you are dropping them for 1 mana using Sonya.
Crowley was also first try. Got the extra cannon guy, along with double use of hero and just burst the enemy minions and enemy down.
Shaw was difficult but got it on the third try. The +2 HP buff to the minions is key with the guy. Then trade as you like or go face. Wolf giving the dogs extra attack helped a lot. +2 attach on dogs are also key, but I didn't get it, no issues though!
That bitch Toki is the toughest for me. Currently on the 8th try. She is super stupid because of the Mage class "apply RNG to win" crap. I haven't gotten any AoE in her kits so far. Reached the final 4 times and died because she builds a stupid board and I can't deal with it. Tried almost everything besides AoE, which I didn't get. Spell power buff, hp buff, etc. Nothing has worked for me. I hate the Mage class and this has led me to hate it even more.
Is it just me but is Tracker god awful? I don't know if it's the terrible starting cards or the dumb hero power, where you have to pay 2 mana to discover a spell cast this game and then pay mana to actually cast that spell and you're not even guaranteed you get a decent spell since your starting spells are crap.
My feeling on the Monster Hunt, all quests done, so around 12-16 games on each class (finished Shaw/Houndmaster only), is that it feels like you're more likely than in dungeon runs to just get ****ed. Many encounters need specific kinds of play and cards, and I've often felt, say, that I couldn't have done anything differently to have won the particular encounter; the cards weren't there to pick, or the draw was just not working, or the so forth. Either that, or the match was a stomp.
Stomp or be Stomped--not as fun as it could be.
Eh, I can totally see myself changing my opinions on that as time passes.
I think we all look past the idea that almost the entire run is luck-based. None of the hunter runs proved to be particularly difficult, just tedious when you couldn't get correct treasures etc.
I did get my 90/90 Edwin Amalgamated by Experiment 3C (or whatever its name was), twice. Luckily I pulled three Acidmaw from Lock and Load (also really nice value with Tools+sticky fingers)

If you can get the "Scythe" its literally the only card you need for the last boss with tracker.
He will give you all the weapon buffs you need and you keep discovering them, you can buff that shit infinitely.
As a bonus if he plays fel reaver you can burn his entire deck.
1 shot all the others except tracker.. so yeah

It's good if you get some sinergies, I got 2 extra mana crystals, so I had enough mana to abuse hero power and had an easy run.
Ummm. I T1 killed the 7th monster with infinite Sinister Strikes.
Tracker was my first try at MH and i won at first attempt. Only hero that i won on first try so git gud scrub
I went full spell damage. It was too easy to complete for me.

Double Sticky Fingers + Tools of the Trade + 4 Edwin VanCleef = infinite/infinite minions on turn 3. Shivers couldn't handle that.

I'm stuck on Tracker for the last one to defeat now.
I really hope the PvE content going forward doesn't rely as much on cheesing wins, I want skill to play at least some part in it.
Just lost a run with 4 Shurikens in my deck without drawing a single one.
I'm also yet to see him play the Fel Reaver everyone says you can use to kill his weapon.
I finished as Tracker at first try and every boss defeated was the same way: Sinister Strike and discover it until opponent's dead.
3 days ago time tinker was awful. i guess in 3 days we'll see cannoneer
Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
Seriouslyyy!!
