hello everyone i have been playing mercenaries since its launched and have enjoyed the game alot and i normally average between 5k-6500 rating in the fighting pit every month. i just have to ask does anyone else feel like trigore needs to have a nerf done to him? his backlash ability is so damn strong that i literally only see trigore bulids around 3k+. im not going to lie i run him as well as i hope to hit legend in the pit one day. but i feel its getting to the point to where other bulids like human, naga, orc etc are being prevented from shining. of course i wouldn't make a post like this without airing a solution of mine own to potentially fix the issue.
solution 1) change backlash to only grant attack this turn
solution 2) ajust backlash speed to be idk speed 3 or 4
solution 3) nerf or rework razorclaw claw 4
naturally of course you could buff his stats or something to compensate for the change to backlash but i feel like right now trigore is almost hitting the oppresive mark in mercenaries PVP and needs something done. what do you guys think
Your solution 1 is probably the easiest and most effective solution for blizz.
The problème is PPL will Want compensation for the nerf which the gamemode isnt design to do ATM (excess coin solution might change that). Honestly PPL just need to accept nerfs even if they lose time investment. Trigore is a rare Merc that only needs a few task done to make him PVP viable so not Much time investment imo.
Frankly since the latest patch and the drop of multiple new mercs I see a lot less Trigore, probably because he loses hard to Shadow which is now a popular comp.
However I still think that Backlash is a bit overtuned and I'd welcome one of the following 2 nerfs:
Make the +9 attack last till end of turn only
Make Backlash no longer trigger once Trigore goes to negative HP
There are 3 opressive protectors right now : Trigore, Lokholar, Yshaarj . Rebalance Trigore is needed but will not change much at high level Rank, but for low level is required. Lowering its attack would be more appropriate to the rebalancing philosophy

you must be the only one who still plays merc, especially in pvp

coding the merc bots to stop playing trigore might work
