Some of the healing ones are annoying. Velen's first was bad until I realized that you could target your own minions. Samuro's 'kill X with whirling' was a pain. Currently on Malf's heal a load with the AoE heal, which is annoying - actively doesn't work well with his OP equip, which means I'll need to grind that out somewhere else or just take aaaages to do it.
On the flip side, and of the dealing damage ones are basically instacomplete.
yeah, this one just struck me as particularly egregious because for one thing, I don't like Sylvannas -at all-. It seems like she was designed very specifically to be an off-the-bench pvp merc.
So do make you get -30 kills-.. not do damage, get kills.. using an already highly conditional, 2-cooldown ability.. it's like "whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy"

I don't understand how people struggle win healing tasks.. Just pick a random fight with a blue enemy, kill all enemies but the blue, let the blue attack with a spell (so it doesn't eventually die attacking like a green or red) and heal every turn until the task is done, you can even do this on low level bounties and injure yourself instead of waiting for enemy damage.
Most tasks can be completed extremely quickly if you're a bit smart about your comp and the choice of bounty, at this point I complete most of my tasks in one fight, at worst in one bounty
You can also heal your enemy if you set up a good plan to complete a task but the enemy doesn't have enough health to let you go through the entire progression bar in one fight.

Deal X damage with Antonidas' Fireball Storm was pretty bad. I don't have any other merc I can fire combo with and it's random so you can't target a red, so I had to do it 7 damage at a time (and it's a 7-speed 1 turn cooldown ability).
The Varden one sounds horrible, though. Not looking forward to that...

Have to hit own minions to get any appreciable damage done to self if doing low level; if doing actual content, you're very likely to have the OP weap equipped which has heavy antisynergy. 240 heals done a tiny amount at a time is a slog. "kill X with weak ability Y that has a 2-turn cooldown" is just a slog through many low level bounties, usually.
While not a perfect solution by any means, Blink Fox's second ability can at least speed up two-turn cooldown effects if you plan on using more than one per fight.

Wait till you reach (I believe it was...) task 13 for Sylvanas. Destroy 15 enemies using her deathrattle (equipment). the For the Queen task wasn't as annoying as this one. How I did it? I luckily already got that equipment upgraded to rank 2, but it still only killed 2 random enemies. So I used Sylvanas+Cariel+Mrgl on lvl 28 Felwood. (Where they keep summoning extra adds) I kept buffing sylvanas' attack with cariel, and mrgl+sylvanas kept shooting sylvanas. Mrgl was there cus the npc's tend to hit a blue (low hp) target all the time and he doesn't hit back for much. You gotta find tricks to complete most later tasks cus normal team runs won't always go fast enough.
Altough Jaina's task 'Destroy X enemies with Water Elemental' sucked too.
Not exactly answering the original question but a tip for the 'Deal 450 damage to Heroic boss' tasks.
If you play a boss that has other enemies they won't count as damage to the task. The best boss I've found is Heroic Felwood 4; against the green demon guys.
Each enemy counts as the Heroic boss, so by clearing it once you get the full 450 damage.
I've felt so productive using Mutanus devour on thin air together with blink fox for a wooping 2/10 uses per fight. Otherwise I guess those healing tasks that ultimately makes you shoot at your own mercs to get the damage feel pretty dumb :)
..so as I mentioned in another thread, Cookie is a godsend for completing a lot of these tasks.
Because his A3 summons an -active- 0-attack enemy, battle won't end if they're still alive (unlike other spawned enemies, like totems, or that stupid Spud), so you can keep summoning fish to damage or kill as long as you need to to complete the task. I just completed Dawngrasp's 8th task easy peasy.

I was already 4 hours deep and 27/30 when I ran into a scenario that I could have farmed if I encountered it earlier: the furbolgs that summon totems.

I abandoned that Sylvanas task 3 times......
And next time I choose Sylvanas I got it back again and again.

There is a "secret" order in which the Mercs get their tasks??
It's not a secret. The tasks are numbered. They're named stuff like "Task 3: Flurry of fire", and occour in order.

I know they are numbered but I was under the impression that they are random for every Merc, I never paid attention I guess.
Still it would be nice if the game would keep track of task progress in a visible way.
i just checked on google and there was a reddit thread about warden
you need to go barens 2 heroic
get glacial shard and set of healers(natalie + xyrella)
every 2 turns shard casts ice lance on natalie and you use yours too
its not guaranteed to be first but after several rounds you will eventually do the task

The 75 kills by deathblow with Grommash because it is totally bugged with me.
I killed so many by deathblow and it just doesn't count.
Everytime I get that task I delete it. It's a shame they have still not fixed this bug.
