I'm truly getting sick of all the unoriginal Samuro+Xyrella +taunt (usually Cariel) combo's. They are so uncreative and people just tend to stack that combo because it's easy to use, but I just found out a nice pvp comp that doesn't use any of those and I've gone from 4200 to 6300 rating until I got my first loss.
I'd happily share the combo, since no doubt it can be improved, but also to share the fun farming those uncreative samuro combo players. I just really, really, really did not want to use Samuro or Xyrella myself.
This is what I got: - Voljin (Ring of Haste - the key to the strategy) - Cairne (Swift Totem to rotate Endurance Aura / Earth Stomp to constantly outspeed enemies) - Lich King (Frostmourne for cleave Frostbite!) - Diablo (Claws of Terror at the moment, but unsure here) - Sylvanas (Mourneblade) - Tamsin (Last Rites - I want to get some sort of an advantage for after she dies. 25/25 is big!)
I got the idea because I wanted to find a comp where Sylvanas would work. I like Sylvanas' tools, but I just didn't find the best comp for her yet. I think in combination with Vol'jin and Tamsin she works wonders.
Here's how I usually play: - I start off with Tamsin, Lich King and Diablo. Tamsin is there to have the option to deny healing on turn 2 and start stacking +shadow dmg. Lich King's sole purpose is to cleave his Frostbite so I always try to hit the center target, sometimes even when it'd lead to a suicide on turn 2. My Diablo is not fully upgraded yet, so my weakest link, but many people tend to focus him first which is what I hope for, but if they don't he can still do great damage on a slowed board. - When my Lich King or Diablo dies, the opponents are usually so slowed/weakened that I pull out Vol'jin (even against 2 greens!). Vol'jin + Tamsin (who is buffed by now) can often kill about 2 remaining mercs. - Lastly Cairne is there if I need more speed, usually after vol'jin dies. Sylvanas' abilities are all shadow, so they work with shadow dmg, shadow vulnerability and vol'jin's passive speed, so usually Sylvanas comes in after Lich King/Diablo are both dead. She can snipe down remaining enemies or let fully buffed melee attackers hit their neighbours.
All in all the strategy is not done yet, and I'm still having doubts about Diablo at the moment. But fool around with the shadow options. This team has a lot to offer and so far seems to farm the non-original cariel/samuro/xyrella comps as well as the increasingly populair malfurion/brukan/thrall-guff-anacondra stuff.
