Guess my hopes were too high up there, I actually gave the mode a chance, I genuinely expected nothing, HOWEVER I found myself actually (somewhat) enjoying the first and second Wing, which seemed straight forward, except for that one tricky Boss that spawns growing Treants when you hit him (You should get Blinkfox here)
All good.... BUT then when discovering to my surprise that my Chars were already maxed out at 30 I started wondering "is this it?" "did I just hit the F2P dead end?" and indeed, it appears my Grind is already over after Day 1.
Now it's quite obvious I need MANY Coins to further upgrade my abilities and equipment, the only problem is, those coins are becoming far and few between, usuallly like 10-15 for my desired Hero, each time I repeat the former Runs. That'd take ages to actually upgrade what I need to, and I can't see myself doing that repetitive shit in what seems to be a "Loop of Doom" for free players.
Anyone else feels genuinely scammed, after getting lured in by the sweet honey pot ?
I will likely manage to beat the third and fourth Wing after a while, or when I actually care, but then they will just release harder Wings in the future, that'll require better and more expensive equipment and higher ability upgrades that will absolutely FORCE you to pay money and/or Gold.
Paying money (or even Gold) to be able to beat PvE Content is a Hard NO-NO for me anyways...
That being said... Nice try Activi$ion, trolled me in here. I give you credit for (somewhat) trying not to make it too obvious, but even absolute Hearthstone Beginners won't fall for this Halloween Trick of a Mode.
Shoutouts go out to my dude Zeddy for his beautiful Rants on Mercs as well. It's high time to Boykott Activi$ion.
How about gather a different team and level them up to 30 since coin farming does not require any specific team ... Otherwise, I personally stop playing the game if I feel too much grinding. However, PvP in this game seems ok to play without having to grind. The opponent sometimes stronger (not too much) but I can still win if I play correctly. Play 2-3 match a day beside quests in normal Hs seems ok for me.
Yes, a gaming company is trying to get you to spend money on their product. Oh the horror.
Last thing I've seen, SNES titles getting sold on eBay for 5 $ nowadays. And those are certainly more entertaining and of higher quality. All while not looking significantly worse to this visually.
Charging me the retail price of 5, 6 or even more PS5 Triple A titles just to compete with the A.I in a poorly coded 16-bit Final Fantasy meets Pokemon clone however ....now that is a entirely different ball game of scammery.
Don't you worry about me, me and my PS5 on a 83" Sony A90J OLED are doing just fine. :D
I DO pay for Quality.... when my standarts of Quality are met.

this post makes no sense LOL and no one cares PVP is basically for the whales that like to circle jerk none of them are any good anyways LOL laughable post
Free to play is based on the notion that you gain currency over time. If we were able to unlock everything for free on day 1, how would they make any money off of the mode?
If you like it then do the dailies, gain the currency and you'll get there. If you don't like it simply ignore it like we all did with Duels.
What a lazy ass entitled sag of dogwater sissy post. You played a game for a day and you are crying that you didnt unlock anything, boohoo... go play tetris or you know... stop acting like a little biiiiii...
Don't forget that the preorder bundle contained Diablo, which was thought to be the most overpowered mercenary by many streamers. A day before release, Diablo was nerfed. Dirty cash grab Blizzard

Some of you genuinely failed in school, whenever the teachers assigned you to write a summary about a lecture. I believe I've said in my first part of the post that I've enjoyed the free part - until reaching Level 30 - but after then I DO NOT, since it's not F2P anymore and requires to buy (a LOT) packs to boost equipment and abilities. And that sad fact is just undisputatable.
Done with quoting Ogre'ish level of illiterate people now, please stay on topic or I'll have a moderator close the thread.

It is perfectly F2P after reaching level 30. By playing like an hour a day, you will have A LOT of stuff a month later. If you don't enjoy this kind of gameplay - fine. But saying that it isn't F2P is blatantly false.
From, what I've seen so far, it's more F2P friendly than regular hearthstone. The coins you get from packs seem a lot more valuable than the dust you get from DEing greens normally.
If you want to upgrade a specific mercs abilities and equipment to be more competitive, you have the option of grinding specific bounties which is the way most games work. Complete levels in the game, gain experience, unlock rewards.
I don't get it - the new mode isn't meant to be beaten in a day. They want you to either grind or pay money. Don't want to do either? Then that's not the mode for you.
I have basically played zero Battlegrounds, because I don't enjoy the mode, but I didn't come to the forum to try and tear down the tyranny of the company making a product that I didn't enjoy.
Lots of people are enjoying it, for what it is... so, just chill out with your PS5 or whatever you like then. Let people enjoy things. If they don't get enough activity from players in the mode or enough purchases on mercs stuff, they will make changes. Simple as that.

FFS when did people start expecting video games to be free? Go run around a public park if you want free entertainment.
Or better yet the freeway...

So, your complaint is that Blizzard didn't give you every single Mercenary at level 30 with fully upgraded stats and items for free on day one?
