Mage is one of the easiest classes. On my first attempt, I got 8 wins just by getting the +3 spell power robe and some burn and it was smooth sailing from there.
I am really finding mage to be VERY difficult.. I don't know what it is... I did 5 of the other runs on the first try, warrior, warlock, druid, rogue and shaman... but Mage is my last one and it is killing me. I must be on my 8th or 9th run through... I had one run where I got defeated on the final boss and I had a bunch of giants and the reward (all minions that cost more than 5 cost 5)... but haven't been able to draft anything that good since then... i think it comes down to luck but IMO i agree with OP that mage is the hardest one for me as well
2. Pick Cloak of Invisibility+things that boost your Hero power and Antonidas+some sinergy, stealthed Tony=win and the Hp can deal as much damage as 30hp per turn in the later stages.
I just think it's funny how people are saying "No, Mage is the easiest because I did it first try.....but I can't beat it with Warrior or Rogue or Priest so those are the hardest!"
All while I'm sitting here having beat it on my first try with Rogue and Priest lol. just because you got lucky with mage one time doesn't mean it's the easiest
I guess it depends on luck, but chaos mage is amazing for dungeon run I've found. Time warp + Antonidas, which are both very common to get, I got 4 Antonidas myself, allow for OTKing almost each boss. Blackseed is the hardest but I had almost no trouble because of all the burn that mage has, and the treasures you can get.
I beat the darkness with a stealth-many-girls-and-wyrms deck. I've been doing it wrong the first few times rerolling for spell power and mana reduction on spells. Turns out having many stealthed apprentices giving 1 mana reduction each is better than picking the passive
Yeah but when you fall behind and everything has stealth this is so frustrating to give free smorc to the AI.. Not picking stealth treasure ever again because of this
AI SMOrcs me anyways, so cloak is never a disadvantage for me.
And in several decks like hunter is a huge bonus (I stomped Azari with some cloaked hunter with Deathstalker Rexxar and several big bad boys).
I know how you feel. I got an insane draft of 5 Arcane Giants, two Echoes, two Duplicates, two Malygos, lots of spells and the passive where minions cost 5. So essentially, I could play a spell T1 and T2 and then drop an Arcane T3. Still lost my final one due to BS RNG.
What I found to eventually work was an Inspire-based Stealth deck. The Kvaldirs + Frost Lich + stall spells + Justicar's Ring allowed me to alleviate pressure while slowly building up a huge board and keeping myself topped off. It definitely wasn't easy, but I got lucky by having the laser beam final boss which was very susceptible a board of Water Elementals.
Did mage on first attemp, really easy. And it was my second Dungeon after a Druid one i got to 7 wins.
So no, it's not the hardest at all.
Congratulations on your RNG. It took me over 50 boss kills to get it down, including losing on the final boss 4 times due to a poor matchup or bad RNG. I don't necessarily agree with the OP as RNG dictates everything in this mode, making it so that all classes are probably on equal footing, but using your one anecdote doesn't refute his point.
I've gone through 59 Boss Encounters as Warrior and all of them ended 6/8 or 7/8. I haven't beaten it with any classes. Am I having fun? I had fun during the first two hours but now I've surpassed 8 hours of trying and I'm not having fun at all. I've reached the point where I just want to scream into a pillow over how much bullshit the RNG is. What makes me more angry is that my cousin who also plays Hearthstone beat it with all 9 bosses already. I just don't know what the fuck am I doing wrong? And I hope nobody tells me to "git gud" because all of them definitely know there's no getting good against pure RNG.

A lot of the final bosses have to do with RNG. If xol wants you to lose, he will make you lose. If togglewaggle wants you to lose, he will make you lose. However, up until then it's not as RNG dependent. It helps a lot to go into the runs with a goal in mind, like "I'm going to try and make a deck that will do X". If you don't, you often will make a deck that can be good, but having a good deck isn't that great. You need something to make your deck unfair, something to push it over the edge. Something that tends to do this is just flooding the board and have stealth, or flooding the board with a bunch of minions with captured flag.
Or assembling Quel'delar and just winning with that since typically that weapon wins on it's own, regardless of the deck.
Something that I try to do is to help my irl friends with beating the bosses, maybe you could try to have your cousin do the same?

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
Every other class gets to 7 wins easily. Mage is just so bad and you're lucky to win 4/5 before running into a wall/boss that was made to counter every single thing Mage can do. It's the only class I haven't beaten Dungeon Runs with and I'm about to give up
Subjective perception.
Mage is the only class that I've managed to beat a dungeon run with so far, so following your logic, is it the easiest class to beat dungeon runs with then?^^
Man hunter is the worst. Too maybe almost 20 runs. It starts with such a trash deck and bad packages.
If you draft Wee beasts a bunch and use captured flag or stealth you can quickly overwhelm most bosses before they are able to do anything that devastating. Then the only issues is with going against the final bosses, but those fights are pretty heavily rng so good luck with doing those ones.

Odd, I one shot mage with a wonky deck, some fun sheneagans against togwaggle

Mage was a first try - first win for me. Might have been lucky but easy for me that time.

Would say Warrior is the hardest, but then I figured out the strategy (my first many runs was as warrior)
Make a perma stealth tempo mage. It's absurd what those stealthed Flamewakers can do.
Same for stealth Doomsayer.
Or stealthed Anthonidas...

Same please help me with priest... I'm on 50+ bosses so far and are talking with people with over 200 beat but no win yet...
I can strongly agree with you. I decided to my Dungeon Run in the proper order:
Warrior>Shaman>Rogue>Paladin>Hunter>Druid>Warlock>Mage>Priest

I cant do it with rogue, almost did it with chtun double battlecries but the last boss drew their best opener
It's more about the matchups you roll than the class.
If you get favorable matchups for the build you choose, it will be super easy. If not, you'll come away thinking it's impossible.
(That said, full-on Jade with the battlecry totem is basically unbeatable for the classes that can get it. Too bad Mage is not one of those classes.)
