I managed to complete the sword. There are only 2 parts, the hilt (+3/3 to minion) and the blade (1 mana 3/3 weapon). At the start of the game if you have both in your deck they get destroyed and Quel'delar is added to your hand. It's a 1 mana 6/6 weapon that deals 6 dmg to all enemies after you attack. Swing 6 times and any boss will die. I think it's a really cool "hidden" quest or easter egg or whatever you wanna call it.
I was wondering waht that was. I only got the hilt offered once and was like "that sucks, why would I pick this"
and then I saw the tooltip talking about completing Quel'delar and I guesssed it was something super powerful...but this is actually nuts. Definitely gonna go for that one next time
ehh...sounds pretty abd still if you get offered hilt but not the blade you are still stuck with a pretty meh treasure compared to the others, finishing it sounds really fun tho
I wanted to know the chances of being offered a first piece of Quel'Delar, and then the chances of being offered the second piece IF you chose the first piece.
In my 20 or so runs I have never had the same playable treasure appear in both offerings in a single run. So I'm going to calculate the odds on the second pick based on the assumption that all three treasures from the first offering are taken out of the available pool for the second.
I also assume that in a given selection of 3, the same treasure can't appear twice.
These assumptions may be wrong and if people have evidence to that effect, please share. The math based on the assumptions, I'm confident of.
Chance that 3 picks from 30 is NOT one of [Hilt of Quel'Delar | Blade of Quel'Delar] = 28/30 * 27/29 * 26/28 = 80.7%. ie 19.3% of the time, you will be offered half (or more) of Quel'Delar in the first choice.
Once half of Quel'Delar has been picked, chance that 3 picks from 27 are not [the remaining piece of Quel'Delar] = 26/27 * 25/26 * 24/25 = 88.9%. ie 11.1% of the time, if you've picked a first piece, you will be offered the second piece.
The second treasure offering isn't until after boss #7, so when taking the first half of Quel'Delar you have to ask yourself whether you'll be able to clear 7/8 without a game-changing treasure pick. And, whether you even need Quel'Delar given two game-changing treasure picks with the deck you're building. I find myself settling into a zone where 7/8 is pretty reliable but 8/8 seems entirely out of reach, so a shot at QD sounds like a good bargain if my deck isn't already on steroids.
Edge case: both pieces of QD appear in the first offering. If my assumption is correct that first-round treasure offerings are not available in the second, then this would make QD uncompletable and railroad the player into door #3 for that offering. However Blizzard is perfectly capable of realizing this and special-casing it to make sure that one half of QD is added back into the pool if the player picks the other half.
Or, maybe I'm wrong and first-round picks are in the pool for the second. If so, I'll come back and redo the math. (I'm particularly interested to know if the treasure you PICKED in the first round is sometimes offered in the second.)
Shudderwock means driving a clown car in circles around your opponent while he swings his sword at you. Half the time he chops you and your car to pieces. The other half you park on his legs and 40 clowns come out one by one, trampling him to death.

I mean that if you go face with it you deal 12 dmg each turn. With 6 durability that's 72, enough to kill any boss (assuming it doesn't get crazy ammount of armor or heal). Most of the time you won't have to worry about their board as 6 dmg can clear any early minions and eves stuff like 5/5s from the darkness. Taunts are annoying though.
In case you dindn't read what i said about the sword, it's 6 attack, 6 durability with the text "Deal 6 dmg to all enemies after you attack". Thus you deal 12 to what you attack and 6 to everything else.

What do you mean 6 Swings and any boss will die? Does it state that in the card? I wish you had screenshotted this. I've tried it a few hours ago, got the blade as Mage but didn't get the Hilt for the second choice so just had to go with the 3 Ragnaros Shots... Still won but yeah, didn't get the Weapon :(
I think what he means is the six damage to face on swing plus the 6 damage to all enemies after the swing would be enough to kill any final boss.
Final boss = 70 hp
If you always swing face: (6+6)*6=72 damage to the boss while likely keeping the board clear.
While endbosses armour up a lot, you are clearing their board every turn allowing your board to grow and go face.
I wonder how this plays out against "Don't kill his treasures too quickly" Vustrasz. A lot of his stuff assumes he has a board to buff, but you won't be able to maintain a board of your own vs. his AOE.

Finished Quel'delar just before Xol on my last class (priest), great accent for ending my entire dungeon escapade.
