The mode comes down to a lot of luck sometimes - I just hit Azari for the first time but I had been steadily building a deck that would do well against the final dragon boss and Azari didn't even break a sweat killing me off. It's a tough mode but very rewarding!
I am confused just because something is hard it is considered impossible now? I fought the darkness and figured out the second time around that he will come because of a boss (Darkheart?) giving me a vague warning... I got cloak of shadows and his entire deck is single target removal so gg =D Pirate warrior op
cloak of invisibility is OP won against togswaggle without problems if your chargers are stealthed most AI cannot do anything so stealth+ the most aggressive deck you can come up with.
I beat him with mage: Rag + the thing that makes your minions stealthed all the time. Would've been a lot easier if he hadn't milled my 2nd Rag and Frostlich Jaina.
The bosses are supposed to be super hard, but they're not impossible. I've beaten Azari, Togwaggle, and the dragon once each. I've failed on the Darkness and other times I played aforementioned bosses. Just keep trying. That's the point of dungeon runs
His hero power is a 0-mana: destroy 2 cards in your opponent's deck. That is absolutely insanity. I had this really cool spell power priest with Lyra and Velen, etc with a whole lot of stalling spells and I got absolutely destroyed because I was into fatigue before turn 15! This is crazy overpowered and they need to nerf him.
Calling for a PvE encounter to be nerfed just because you failed is not ideal nor constructive, I have beaten him on first try! Better luck with other classes against him. Try the trapped room that is ridiculous for sure.
Not impossible. I defeated him the first time I faced him with my blood warlock. I saw my friend defeat him with his Mage. He is definitely able to be defeated. It depends on your deck and approach to the battle, as well as some luck.
It's doable but feels the most extreme. I did it with a big druid. I had the extra card draw passive and scored the 1mana minions Cost zero and flooded the board t1 and just won since he didn't clear it.
That said if you're playing any kind of agro deck or even midrange he'll probably just mill you and clear your board.
Each end boss can totally RNG you though. I beat king with hunter only because he flooded his entire board with portals and had no damage. I was down to 5 health and killed him over 5 turns with HP RNG saved me in that match.
The irony was that my initial thoughts about these dungeons are that they are possibly way too easy. I can get to the final boss pretty much every time - whether I beat him at that point is hit or miss, but I shouldn't find it that easy to get there. Getting to the final boss in itself should be an achievement, but right now it's just the build up to that "actual" fight, which is a shame.
I won as a Deathrattle Hunter. I was able to flood the board with beasts, feed them to my Scavenging Hyena, and raise his attack to 22. I was also lucky enough to get Wish in my starting hand, which gave me enough muscle to take out the three Voidlord cards he played. I don't think I could have replicated that game with the same deck, though.
Yeah, he milled most of my good cards. The only way I won was because he didn't mill Uther DK and The Lich King. Uther gave me enough health to stall and The Lich King gave me Frostmourne which helped me resurrect Mal'Ganis on the turn that I would have fatigued. This was after he played DOOM! to destroy everything too. God it was ridiculous.
It was actually the easiest fight for me, it really depends on your deck composition
Despite being milled I was able to just smash face and remove their board while still having plenty of health even into fatigue 4
That's the great thing about this adventure, your deck can completely dominate a boss that other decks will find seemingly impossible or even entirely impossible
I beat him my first try in the absolute luckiest way possible. One of my favorite decks is mill rogue so I was thrilled to see that dungeon run supported the archetype with the "exhaust" build. My deck was full of coldlights, shadowsteps, and removals and I easily cruised through the first 7 bosses. Boy was I crushed when I got to Azari and he started discarding my deck. Here's how I won... no lie this was crazy-
I put cho behind the ice wall minion and played gang up on the ice wall. Every turn Azari would play gang up and give it back, basically just filling his deck while slowly destroying my deck. I got double hucksters from DK Valeera and one of them gave me FRIGGIN RIN. I beat Azari with Azari in a mill rogue deck! In case anyone is wondering, there is no interaction when you drop Azari :(.

It's not impossible, I picked the archbishop package to meme it out. Guess what happened:
I also had 2 potion of madness and 2 shadow madness + 1 cabal, stole every dreadsteed he played. Then his deck. Then his life :D
I beat him with warlock, he couldnt kill my mal ghanis so i did not take fatigue damage
.

Cloak of Invisibility and snowballing win-more tempo decks seem to wreck everyone.

Beaten Azari with mage and priest. The key is early dominiance, cause he doesn't seem to run significant board clears.
I was lucky enough to have the 2 mana spell in my starting hand, that recruits 3 minions from your deck:
The Lich King, Dr. Boom and Auctionmaster Beardo - EZ 1st Run Endboss with Paladin!

https://imgur.com/wNqCp1b Just had this happen to me minutes ago. Azari is easy if you're good.

That frigging dragon though.... *shakes fist* lol
