It's pretty annoying the first few matches, especially with Shadow Word: Void (which needs a nerf IMO), but it's really not that strong in the higher levels where heroes have higher HP, more options for recovery, and can put out more threats.
Sorry OP is right. Mind tether is 100% cancer and remains so after duels/Stormwind update. There is virtually no hard counter to it for most decks (Rancor ... maybe), and you can't really tech for it in duels. If they get fireshaper they can do 20+ damage in one turn (Easily) by turn 3 or 4. Shadow word void isn't even the biggest problem. It's the ability to discover multiple times per turn and just put out face with their hero power. And basically everything past round 5 in duels is either elemental shaman or mind tether priest. The power level is absolutely stupid.
Update: it's even worse now. with the all spells + fireshaper passive just had a mind tether priest put out 28 damage just with their hero power on turn 3 in a match. GG.
Really hate this meta!!! Priest is too strong and Shaman/Warrior using the Battlecry passives are way too strong. Aggro decks shouldn't also be drawing infinite value.
Embrace the Shadow needs to be banned
Mind Tether needs to cost 1 mana instead of being passive, just like Outlander for Demon Hunters
Shadow Word: Void needs to cost at least 4 mana, probably 5.
Warrior hero power Bruising needs to cost (1)
Rally the Troops should not give a cost discount to the drawn card - drawing an extra card every turn is already strong enough!
Battle Totem should only effect the first Battlecry you play each turn
Meek Mastery should be +1/+1 or 1/+2 and no cost reduction
Mana cheating is running everything in Duels and need to be nerfed. All cost reduction cards to say "but not less than (1)" because I'm tired of getting to 11 wins and then immediately losing to a shaman coining Payload Specialist or 3 Murlocs on turn 1 snowballing into lethal on turn 2-3.
I hate people like you with the might of a thousand suns. Counter it HOW? Its all nice and dandy to say "cant you all be nice?" without actually adressing the issue at hand. You make me sick. Come with an argument and maybe people will take you seriously.
Although armor warrior can fuck them up real bad (wich is funny because that's the matchup I tend to get when I play the asshole priest), and both mage and DH has hopes of outrun them (non-deathrattle hunter and rogue would'nt put my hopes up). And from 30 HP and later you can try with shaman too.
I definitively think biggest issue is Shadow Word: Void. It's not only a must in spell priest. It's a must in every priest unless you are a mad lad that tries to dragon priest.
No treasure should be "autoinclude in every single deck".
So glad a lot of people dislike these overpowered things in the game.
Well, you wanted fast(er) games because you hate long(er) matchups. You simply got what you asked for and deserved!
If/when you get over the "play a game while on toilet" mentality, maybe something will change for the better. Until then, enjoy what you asked for!
I can tell from this simple post that your parents are brother and sister. People are not complaining because games are faster. They are complaining taht ONLY CERTAIN hero power/class can win as fast. They would not be complaining it all classes were as fast. Just tell me what other deck can beat you faster than mind tether priest from hand?
