I have 0 deathrattle minions so naturally I am offered Totem of the Dead and Mummy Magic I have 0 minions above cost 5 so naturally I am offered Scepter of Summoning
The patch notes say that the treasure drops are 'somewhat deterministic.' Meanwhile, I've played dozens of hunter runs this patch and have yet to be offered either Totem or Mummy Magic.
Yeah, i had the same problem. It seems that there is some trouble with "reading" some decks. If you make deck with a keyword like Rush, Battlecry, or Deathrattle you are much more likely to get a useful treasure.
Sometimes i make my own deck with an idea behind it but i get totally trash treasure, so it doesnt work.
Those choices sucked for you, but I would have picked one of the deathrattle ones solely due to the hope of acquiring a certain +2 spell damage deathrattle card.
Iksar said that in the new passive treasure offering system there is no way to have 100% chance for a certain treasure, but you will always get an offering that works with your deck. I dont think he lied but there is a problem with how Scepter of summoning is coded. It does something with "5 or more cost minions" and OP had 5 or more cost minions. So the game thinks that Embercaster and other 5-drops are affected by the Scepter so its fine to offer it.
I also had this kind of bad rng in duels, they really need to fix their spaghetti code for Scepter. Also instead of having a high chance for a treasure that works really well with your deck they should just eliminate the ones that do nothing.
Treasure choosing should be about, well, choosing. If 2 of the 3 options do nothing there is no choice at at all.
This is entirely sloppy/lazy coding on Blizzard's part.
It's not rocket science to parse key words in text and count how many keywords you have of each type and only give you the choice of a certain keyword-related treasure if you have >x [keyword] cards in your deck
Or they could even go the extra mile, so to speak, and implement a slightly more intelligent solution of comparing the ratio of x [keyword] cards to your total cards and only offer you a certain keyword-related treasure if your ratio of x keyword cards to total is > y%
I have not single deathrattle minion and the only 2 minions i have get worse with Unlocked Potential...
Yeah, so i went with Totem of the Dead and hoped i will get maybe some deathrattle minions offered...no sorry..only spells and elementals with battlecry to pick.
The problem with duels is mainly the treasure distribution. Why do you always get spell treasures when playing priest or mage, but when i make a spell shaman or druid i get the fucking shit!
I dont want to get always the best treasure possible. Its ok to gamble and adjust during the run. That makes it also funny. But please dont give me stuff thats 100% useless.

Making ur own deck usually ends in 0-3 cause people just conceed until they get the op treasures or passive.

I thought they fixed this somehow lately, since there were some changes. But no....
I play a Quest Shaman, full of spells. The only minions i have are Canal Slogger and Novice Zapper. So what treasures do i get on the 3rd pick....
Totem of the Dead, Deathly Death! and Unlocked Potential
Wtf really?
