everyone talking about the 12 wins they do with warlock etc. im playing warlock everytime i can and i cant get passed 6 wins, can anyone teach me? i must be dumb lol
discard lock is nerfed to ground already (2 patches ago it was already nearly dissapeared on high rank). If you want to play warlock try full demon build with soul shard hero power (passive one, which summons flame imps) with Imp which gives you discounted demons as a treasure.
Druid and hunter are also still very strong. Mage is fine now too after getting his ping to 1 mana again (if you will get passive which destroys any frozen minion when it gets damage - its really brutal, got 12 wins with this passive recently)
To answer the OP's question, as someone who went 12-0 with Dark Arts Warlock just a few minutes ago (at rating around 6500, lest Mr. "Low Rating and Luck" get snarky with me), here are my thoughts.
The new season has a higher power level overall, so you can't just use the same tactics again and expect it to work. But Warlock did get some very nice new tools with Core, Un'goro, and Barrens. I actually think you want to bench C'Thun, the Shattered so that Blood Shard Bristleback and Barrens Scavenger can carry you for your first few games. For your end-game win condition, you can use Lord Jaraxxus to replace C'Thun; even in Duels, where your hero power is stronger and is less in need of boosting, Jaraxxus is just way too good in its current form to pass up. Overall, I think your deck should be more aggressive in build, with more minions and fewer symmetrical board clears.
As for passive treasures, the ones I used in my run were Scattered Caltrops and Caltrops. I think Caltrops (of either form) are quite desirable right now – the meta as a whole is heavier on cheap, weak minions, and the very popular Connections Rogue in particular is highly susceptible.
Just get the ability which gives all your minions +1 attack every time another minion dies because that's literally the only thing I see once you get over 8 wins.

That's not a viable strategy because it's physically impossible at this point. Blizzard removed Cannibalism from the passive treasure pool effective yesterday. Give it a couple days for the existing runs with that treasure to complete and you'll stop playing against it.

If they removed it yesterday then I must have faced the few lingering decks which still had it in their runs because 3 out of my last 4 games saw my opponents using that boon.

Yep, that's correct. I'd suggest taking a few days' break from Duels, both to wait for most of those runs to finish up, and to let you clear your own mind. (It might just help you enjoy the format more!)

It's all good because those games ended my run so I highly doubt any new runs will encounter that boon.

0/3 vs 3 warrior bombs..... very interresting
In what format.
discard/killmox
After your first win, win 11 more times for a full 13 wins! In any format.
Low rating, and luck. You're not getting 12 consecutive wins at any decent rating.
