Upon making this thread, the last reply to any post was over 4 days ago. If a message board - dedicated entirely towards the discussion of a single game - goes the better part of a week without the slightest mention of a brand new feature of said game then I think you may have a problem.
Duels is fun but there are some broken interactions with it. It's bar none the easiest way to make money in the game right now imo so I'd really love to see some balance improvements to the weaker classes.
A format that puts anyone without a wild collection at a disadvantage is always going to struggle to attract players. They should have created fixed starting decks like the single player modes have.
My main problem with Duels is that it's just not a new gamemode. Look at Battlegrounds and how many things it changed - Recruit/Combat phases, buying minions, auto-battling - it's just like a brand new game. Duels tho? It's basically an extremely imbalanced multiplayer reskin of Dungeon Run, about which, btw, many players have complained for being repeated too many times.
Duels is garbage. It’s ruined by the fact that aggro decks demolish the early matches. This forces you to play aggro or never regress. Seeing mages up until 5 wins just shows how lazy and stupid hearthstone has become. After 5 wins it’s all priest high rollers. Battlegrounds is the best mode. Once blizzard fully monitizes battlegrounds this game is dead.

^ this, all of it. i'm so preemptively depressed for the day that blizzard monetizes battlegrounds. but yeah, duels is just... not that fun. it's like a more frustrating standard. all the same classes and decks at high ranks with high rolls that are blinding.
I like duels. Played a lot of them lately, since i hit legend early in the season and somehow lost the drive. Its a little bid sad, that so much depends on how lucky you are with treasures. Like when you are doing good and just get 3 horrible choices to pick...
So many mention here BGs. I have tried a couple games and i have 0 motivation to play it again. It seems like a cheap game from the playstore.
The idea of making Dungeon Runs pvp is fun on paper, but it just becomes boring because you cant make the cards too broken like in pve. Turns what could be a fun into a auto-build start with a roll the dice or lose progression with no different feel other than all-in on a hero power synergistic playstyle

I was wondering which classes are best, Trump seem to think that Dragon Priest is best suited now Demon Hunter Hero power got Nerfed.

In concept I like duels but Demon Hunter, Warlock and broke back treasures make duels unplayable for me.
