I've recently started playing duels but I think around 50% of my games are against Mozaki, and certainly almost all of my losses. Is this class just completely busted? The hero power makes any kind of swarm tactic pointless (e.g. discard lock) and god forbid they get passives like band of bees.
I was just about to post about it. Played about 20 matches today, half of them being against Mozaki as well. And that hero power is just ridiculous. For that value, it should cost 3. Also, too many freezes available. Mozaki makes other classes look like clowns.
I mean everything has a counter right? Ping is obviously much less effective against a tall board. Also, if you think about it, it's still paying 2 mana to summon a mana wyrm (and deal 1 damage), which is the normal price anyways....so it's really not that insane. If you're opponent is spending 2 mana every turn on a mana wyrm, chances are you should be able to outpace them on the board.
I don't think it's all that great. Decent but hunter is very strong, if not stronger with secrets and deathrattles. I've played a fair bit of duels for the last couple of weeks and my deep runs have all come with hunter. My late run losses have typically come against hunter with mage and priest in there as well. If priest gets the right build with dragons and passives it can be pretty nutty.
My feeling is that Demon Hunter and Warlock are the best classes right now.
The new passive hero power of DH that gives you +1 attack every time you play your left-most or right-most card is insane. Combined with the starting treasure that can double those cards it can be completely ridiculous (Twin Slice from outcast position can be 2-mana +10 attack)
As for Warlock, the discard package is great. 1-mana hero power that draws you 1 card and summons a 3/3 or two 2/1s is insane in the first few rounds and later in the run you have this infinitely scaling lifesteal rush demon which is like Reno on a huge body + the 6/6 that can add more copies of it in your hand.
So, these two classes can do broken stuff without having to rely on picking broken treasures
I've had really good success against her with Rattlegore because his 'deal 1 damage to a minion' hero power allows you to remove many of your own minions which would otherwise be susceptible to a mana wyrm tempo swing....plus you gain 2 armor in the process
mozaki is the most powerful hero in duels after all, because of the 6 cost 3/3 demon treasure she has, basically reno on steroids, and because it's a demon, can be duplicated with the 1 mana card for free any time
Mozaki is strong in the early rounds, but she seems to be a struggle in later rounds. Once you're playing against decks that are scamming out high health minions, you find yourself with less and less ability to get those Mana Wyrms spammed out. She's probably middle of the pack, below Warlock, Warrior, Demon Hunter and possibly Rogue (although the move of the Bees treasure really hurt rogue). Shaman burn/weapon decks stop her cold in the early rounds though; they never play anything for you to ping and their burn is faster.
Warlock is just crazy strong now that they have a treasure that syncs so well with their hero power. 1 mana draw a card, give your Killmox +2/+2? And then Killmox being basically 6 mana "Destroy an enemy minion, heal to full, summon a 21/13" in most games is nuts. Compared with that, Mozaki just can't keep up most of the time.

Actually no... Freeze can hit your face, and then you can't attack :)

Mage is not strong in duels warlock can Easily out value a mage ping. If you can’t get passed a turn while we ping you are doing duels wrong.
For me priest and demon hunter is among the strongest.
