This was exactly my thoughts. If this is your greatest regret, you either haven't lived much or need to be more thankful for how great you have it.

It's tough having your own opinion sometimes, streamers clearly are above regular people, and they clearly don't stream for the money... Like Blizzard doesn't make games for the shareholders these days.
Video games aren't supposed to offer value, they offer entertainment. And while those two things can go hand in hand it's very presumptive to think they are synonymous.
Call someone a shill for making a living, sure I guess. But maybe think or your own naivety and how you let someone else decide for you and then point the finger in blame rather than own your own decision and accept the consequence.
This post is confusing to me. It's constructed with a twist. Sure the treasures and packs are random which introduces some luck in to it when it comes to getting 10+ wins. But it's no more RNG than arena is. Or BGs. All of those modes are based on which hero you get and which cards you are offered to construct your deck. As for your Robes comment, they recognized the robes were OP and patched them out of the treasure selection. The mode is in beta, and you participated in a beta. There will be imbalances, broken things, mess ups (like Paladin bugging out and sometimes not offering cards).
This reads more like a salt thread. Like you got beat on some runs and came here to vent about how it's the game mode's fault and not yours. If you don't enjoy it, more power to you. If you are going to be playing constructed anyway, then just consider your prepurchase as buying the decks ahead of time and forget the beta of the new mode was included. And now you have the snazzy N'Zoth hero portrait and renewed your Tavern Pass.
Really it shows how simple you can be if just by watching 24 h of stream you pay 40-80 euros for the exp. You need to get a new occupation
I'm actually enjoying Duels a lot more than I thought I would. Slay the Spire is probably my favorite game within the past couple years and this mode scratches the same itch that game does. It definitely isn't for everyone but I love the continuous deck building aspect of it and it's such a refreshing break from grinding out 50/50 matches against the same 3 decks on ladder every month.
Well, to his defense these guys often have some direct beneficial connections to the owners of the game they play. In many cases a review/playthrough should actually be marked as product placement. It's the same issue as with game reviews. You want an early access to the copy of the game, which only the owner can provide you with - but bash their game and you will never get a game from them to review again. And if you want clicks/views, you need to have your review early, not after others had already placed theirs and got all the clicks and views. This is an indirect corruption and the same applies to streamers, who are supported by the companies.

Yeah it has a few problems, for one they overdid the format in adventure mode already. So it feels stale right out of the gate.
Feels a bit more like a chore to get 12 wins, where you have to force yourself to play it. I don't think balancing will fix that, but it's certainly not balanced.

Card Design ChampionFirst of all, this thread is 2 years old, an was resurrected by some troll.
Second of all, I think Duels has many enjoyable aspects no other mode can give, while lacking other things due to theid different nature. I realy like Duels myself, and if you don't like them then that doesn't mean it's a bad mode, though I have to admit there were things which disappointed me at the launch, but now they're in a pretty decent state.

Here i come with an unpopular opinion. I love duels. Its basicly the only thing that keeps me in the game. I do my dailies and when i have 150g i do a duel run. On the other hand i have only spend like 2 hours with battlegrounds and ehhmmm this other new mode with the camping fire, because i dont see the point of those modes.
However, one thing that could be improved in duels are the rewards (same goes for arena i guess). Sometimes i reach like 10 wins and i dont even get the entry fee in gold back, because i get some crappy 40 dust and a rare card...thats fucked up!
