what makes you think you can play with a friend even in normal mode?
how would that work?
I'm pretty sure you won't be able to do that, even in normal mode your goal will be to not lose 3 times
becouse there said you will be able to play your friends... there even doing it on the stream now...
I haven't heard that and I just read the blogpost and I can't see any info on it, so let's say it somehow might be possible, although too easily abusable to get to high wins, which doesn't make sense
and no, on the stream they were playing on a server with just 2 players, that's why they were playing against each other

... you cant get reward in normal mode since its vs friends...
My first impression is bad, because they added deckbuilding element to dungeon runs and it requires wild cards on top of that. Without initial deckbuilding it would be so much better. My only hope is Battlegrounds was looking like a total garbage at reveal (I don't really like auto-battler genre in general) and it turns out it's so fun I even climbed to the leaderboard at some point. I will definitely try it out when they remove paywall, but it's not looking like a better mode than arena for me.

I, for one, is very excited about this new game mode! I've played a TON of all the different single player, Dungeon Run-type modes, and I'm stoked about getting to play against other players. Sure, this probably won't be for everyone, especially people who don't enjoy RNG, but then Battlegrounds is not for everyone either.
Also, people who don't have wild cards can easily play this mode as well. You only need 16 cards for you starter deck, so unless they make an all-wild rotation, it will always be possible to build a deck. Will it be the best deck? Maybe not, but that's the challenge of it! Right now, I'm sure pretty much every player would be able to build some kind of deck using only cards from Scholomance, Basic and Classic. Again, it's just 16 cards, and you'll be able to discover all sorts of crazy stuff between games.
Personally, I'm much more excited about this than tournament mode, budget mode or similar modes that I've seen people propose.
I personally dislike it. Never be a fan of dungeon run from K&C. Classic Arena still better. If this mode becomes quite bit competitive, it'll be another salt pit
It was not what I expected but it is better than Arena. I feel like the new mode feels more like those tavern brawls. Use a hero powe and a treasure with cards from your collection, I prefer single player dungeons more. It doesn't mix well with being PvP.
To make this game somewhat playable and not to expensive I dusted my wild collection for it. Does this means it gets backfired now? That will really REALLY sad...
16 singelton cards from your collection... I'm not saying 16 legendaries will always be practical, but there is a big emphasis on having the best cards in your collection, which usually tend to be epics and legendaries.
I'm sure there'll be another MMR system again (I don't know, I haven't checked yet), but it feels like this is gonna scare off new players rather than inviting them. Battlegrounds is easy to understand and pick up, no requirements need to be met. With this, you'll have a rough time, especially in the heroic version.
As for that, I'm not sure if I find it that appealing. Anyone who's played a Dungeon Run mode knows how huge the variance in powerlevel can be between decks. It sure tests deck-building on the run, even though we'll probably see "optimal" starter decks for specific hero powers pretty soon. But since you can get easily screwed with treasure cards and buckets, it feels a lot more unpredictable than Arena.
Seems pretty bad... i am sure some people will like it but it feels like it doesn't create any new gameplay. Watched a bit streamers player it (a bit like 5 minutes actually because very boring to watch) and see... same old cards, same old mechanics.
silly me thinking it could be something like a tournament mode when I heard duels :/
PVP slay the spire. I'm in.
its noting like STS lol

It is a weird mix of constructed and limited and I LIKE IT
It is good that wild cards will have more value in them.

I mean except for the fact that it's PVP dungeon run, and dungeon run is a STS-alike "lol"

Yeah I misread the notes.
I absolutely loved dungeon run and i bet i will like this just as much

I honestly don't like it one bit, I was expecting something new instead of rehashed adventures with PvP mode.
So much negativity! It’s pretty good I think, mage seems a bit overpowered mind you.
Is that a murloc? Yawn....conceede!
It's just the same over and over again. i have never seen so many crybugs in one place as in the hearthstone community.
