As stated above the second tip is super important, if you lock yourself into one minion type and the game doesnt wanna play along youll get behind quickly.
Positioning is important too. Its always left to right in battle so keep this in mind if you want a certain minion to stay alive.
Time your triples for when you upgrade tiers too. Doesnt matter when its tripled just when its played to offer the higher of your current tier.
1: Buff abilities allows quick tier up with strong early game minions. Gold/ramp abilities allows it with "sell me" minions
2: every build has its essential tier(s) that you should aim for rushing into and staying at for a bit, but be careful not to get stuck there. Like rolling endlessly in t3 for Tarec'gosa.
3: The early t1 triples are 95% of the time bait...
+1: Mechs are insane since magnetic synergizes with all kinds of buff effects (buff for hand and lobby, stat swap and end of turn effects) Naga, murlocs and pirates are harder to land IMO
The first I do is look at tribes to see what wins.
I look at my hero to see what the hero can realistically achieve. A broken consistent discover hero like Cookie or Dawngrasp with reliable triples can go for stupid invincible win conditions that even the attempt gets others killed.
With a buff hero, I am always wanting swipe minions at least 2. Tier 4 pirate is preferred. We'll pretend a fire elemental sort of has swipe.
Then do whatever you can to stay alive in get into final 4.
1. Avoid heroes that are tied to a minion type except Ysera. You may get very few of the minion type. Ysera is the exception as it gets a dragon every refresh. Sadly dragons are mid tier right now imho.
2. Economy can help you win games.
3. Its sometimes better to lose an early round when damage is low if you level early.

Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.
1. Watch some streams to figure out what builds are actually available, as well as what tavern tier is most important for each build.
2. Don't try to force a build. Instead let the game lead you to one.
3. Don't pick heroes based on "hero tiers". Pick whatever you are comfortable with.
"2. Don't try to force a build. Instead let the game lead you to one." - This is probably my biggest weakness. Im a sucker for trying to hold on to obsolete cards just to grab a golden and I fall too far behind once I realise im being smashed
3. Don't pick heroes based on "hero tiers". Pick whatever you are comfortable with.
I'm paying the monthly with decktracker which helped innitially with regards to learning but I have started just picking heroes that I have familiar strats with.

I only discovered how important it was to put some big minions first once I saw a de-buff where it played your high attacks on the right. I never really considered that high health minions are more likely to snag a second attack if they have first survived the first attack

Ysera mostly seems to have such a strong rating from decktracker
watch Shadybunny 's stream, he's the best to learn the basic concepts because he takes the time to explain the logic behind them. If he's offline, watch the VODS.
triple T1 only if they are economy or weaver (in general)
level whenever the gold fits or you feel strong enough (if you don't want lots of minions from the tier you're in)
only roll on a tier if you need more than 1-2 specific minions from it
buy minions that open up strategies (i.e. shields and taunts if quilboars are in)
don't go for weak (in combat) scaling units like Nomi if you are weak and it's past turn 7 or 8
watch what your opponent is playing for positioning (and tech accordingly from turn 8-9 and after)
don't plan too much for the future (but point 3 still applies), always try to win the next fight
I play on EU. You can add me if you want, I might come spectate now and then, but I'm only 8.5-9k mmr so far. I mostly play around 8pm/1am while watching movies with my girlfriend.

Tip 2: Thankyou. I will consider that when playing Tip7: Probably my weakest area. Sometimes I get tunnel vision and should really consider opponents more and plan ahead.
I like your name. I too am a triple enjoyer

As someone who struggles late game and working it out.

What 3 tips would you give to aspiring players from your experience?
1. Watch some streams to figure out what builds are actually available, as well as what tavern tier is most important for each build.
2. Don't try to force a build. Instead let the game lead you to one.
3. Don't pick heroes based on "hero tiers". Pick whatever you are comfortable with.

If you are offered Southsea Busker in the first round consider this order
1. buy it, but don't play it
2. upgrade to tier2 and play it
3. 6 gold and able to buy two minions or upgrade to tier3
