So we've had Battlegrounds without Buddies, then with them, and then back to being without them.
Simple question (ish!) - do you prefer the game with or without Buddies?
For me, i have to say i miss them and despite seeing some crazy builds and stats because of them, they just make the game more fun overall. Though that may be easy for a 7k MMR pleb like me to say.
It's good as a seasonal event, like Darkmoon Tickets was before. It's better if these mechanics don't stay and stack on top of each other as that would make BGs a bloated mess.
Right before Hearthstone launched the BGs I was playing a lot of DotA Underlords which was very, very good (imho better than TFT) until they released a patch that added a bunch of new mechanics. The game just died directly after that.
I'm very torn. Right now I think the game is more fun than the last week with buddies and to some extent it's nice to have the good old back. I still think that buddies were the best change that had been added to the game and I wish that a more balanced and less tempo based version will come again.
I get paid over 190$ per hour working from home with 2 kids at home. I never thought I'd be able to do it but my best friend earns over 10k a month doing this and she convinced me to try. The potential with this is endless. Heres what I've been doing.. :) AND GOOD LUCK.:)

Interesting.
I think buddies really screwed up Battlegrounds. Then they removed them but did the new meta seemed botched.
tbh i stopped playing bgs after buddies were removed, so often I would choose a sub-par hero but thinking ya but the buddy will balance it out in later turns then I forget they're no longer there.
Now naga's have been nerfed properly (possibly a little too hard) BGs is back to being fun again. I'm cool with or without buddies, I just want the game mode to be fun to play.
I would like to see Buddies return at some point. But to me the top priority is fixing bad heroes. There are too many unplayable heroes atm. The problem with this is that they need to balance everything as a whole. If they balance heroes now and return buddies later, they will need to change some buddies too, since the powerlevel of buffed bad heroes might be too good with buddies.
Games with buddies were more predictable and less explosive. Now you either high roll like crazy or god forbid you even get to the top 4. I really enjoyed buddies meta and frankly, I thought they were to stay for good. Now BG is just the same high roll shithole it used to be. Only fun to watch.

Tried BGs again after your comment, yes it is fun again.
It's about damn time. Half a year of Battlegrounds being terrible.
i think buddy's can be great if almost all heros get fun ones like (this is my opinion on whats fun not everybodys) ticketus buddy with brann was great but there where some boring ones like edwynn you would sometimes feel like the game was boring. it gave great opportunities and had some down sides but i would love to see them come back but maybe only in 50% or 40% of lobbies.
Thanks to all who have contributed by comment or vote. Quite easy to see the dilemma involved with most people preferring Buddies (2:1 split) but also having reservations about them also and caveats to their inclusion.
I guess most depends on what Blizzard's view is about the game mode going forward. Arena, Mercenaries and Duels dont seem (i could be wrong) to be anything like as popular as BGs, most people play Tavern Brawls for a pack and maybe complete a daily quest or two along the way, so BGs seems to be the main alternative to Standard/Wild constructed play - but still a side game.
If they do see it as something more than that, maybe they could consider looking to offering Buddy and Non-Buddy lobbies for players to choose their preference and do battle with like minded players?
Feel that now Naga's are now back into the minion pool and not auto part of every lobby, along with their nerfs, the game is a bit more balanced and 'enjoyable' - although it still feels quite bland compared to Buddy lobbies. Hopefully Diablo will **** off again soon and we'll see what the next patch brings!
Good discussion though....and i didnt even see any trolling or unnecessary flaming!!!!!!!!!! See, it can be done!!!!! :)
Buddies were a mixed bunch. Some were absolutely irrelevant, some were maybe too useful. That said, some of them opened the way for interesting strategies, such as the all 3-stars A.F.Kay build, or the "how to use Captain Kragg money bank", and somewhat helped balance out unlucky starts, since you could get reliable draws you could possibly build a strategy around.
I am ok with them gone, but perhaps we could see them make a comeback in the future. It's ok to have stuff like that, as it adds more life to the game.
1. Marketing = money. They wanted to promote the new OP naga tribe. There's a reason why no new tribe is ever balanced or in need a very small adjustments.
2. Balancing. They couldn't balance nagas with buddies.
Make what you wish of it.

Just curious to gauge what others think.
My magic will tear you......oh.
I like them, would be happy to see them back. It also feels like some heroes are useless/crippled without their buddies.

Amazing opportunity, thanks for sharing.

BG is great even without buddies but shit heroes need to be rotated out.

i dont get why the removed buddies, it was a really easy way to balance the weaker heroes and give some spice to the stronger ones

Fun? Its mega high roll shithole :P
It's always been like that... buddies didn't change this, but only made it worse. There's autobattlers for you.

Buddies made some bad heroes playable. Now without Buddies those heroes fell to garbage again.
