The third party software Blizzard is referring to is bots farming gold. I don't think you can 'hack' battleground like that and make it give you triples. Sometimes people just get insanely lucky.
Everything you do is either varified (Do you have enough gold for X) or entierely controlled (for example the minions in bobs tavern) by the server. It's litterely impossible to change anything gameplay related through the client.
There are bots, auto-clickers and modders in BG as well as constructed, but mostly in BG. As to how good they are I am not sure, but they are definitely out there.
Not directly related... but with the new floors you can expect more people picking high roll heros when on a floor. So expect to see a small uptick in successful high rolls.
Yeah, I use a Ouija board to try and counteract the freakin high rolling BS this game has and makes it totally unfun when you are consistently at the receiving end of it LOL

With the recent update to blizzard's ToS, especially about third party software in hearthstone
I'm curious if people are actually doing stuff like that.
I didn't think people were at first until my most recent battleground.
Someone playing as maiev had a golden dread admiral and two regular admirals by turn 8.
not sure how thats possible, i screenshotted it and sent it to blizzard.

You're looking for something that's not there.
Someone hi-rolled the lobby, that's it. Deck trackers don't magically produce triples or change RNG.
It could be possible, but I ain't BG expert so I don't know much about it. I don't think a screenshot is a good enough proof though, just saying.
I need to hit Legend for my monthly doses of dopamine.

RNGsus my friend, not on your side now :)
I could change the world, but it is not open sourced.
