I'm probably late to the party here, but if anyone is wondering why streamers' animations are so fast compared to your own, there's a pretty simple fix.
For windows:
Windows Key + r, type "%localappdata%\Blizzard\Hearthstone",add these two lines in options.txt:
targetframerate=144
vsync=0
It makes it feel like a completely different game. Now you can play pirates!
Helps with everything; opening packs, sorting through collection.
And I know in theory it only affects certain comps in battlegrounds, but since I did this my rating's up about 1,500 points in the last couple days. I've had a few APM Pirate comps that wouldn't have worked with slow animations. But really I think it makes you better with every build. Just having the ability to think about your turn without worrying about coming up short because you lost 10-15 seconds on animations is huge. Especially those turns where you find a late triple and it throws your plans awry. Trying to get that discover processed and onto the board was always majorly dicey with slow animation speed.
Thank you for sharing this! I was having a lot of frustration with the game lagging because of the animations, and starting to play less, but this made a world of difference.
Thanks!! This explains a lot: In game my (heads-up) opponents were already getting triples/ leveling up, while i was still watching the animations of the battle. Never knew the reason for this.
I’ve done it for my iPhone and Android. It works, but it also doesn’t. While making it smoother and easier to use and make fast decisions, the overall time spent is the same. There’s just more frames per second, same number of seconds. If you’re playing APM decks or battlegrounds on mobile though, it’s a noticeable improvement, but it will drain your battery at least twice as fast.
edit: the file you are looking for is called options.txt. It should be in the main file once you open the HS files on your phone. Mod the file on PC and drag it back, don’t forget to replace the file. It takes about 5 minutes.

LOL, it really worked, thanks!

this guide has something for android you could try
I'm playing on a potato phone so i expected nothing, but this actually made a huge difference.
Thank you! I just hope we don't get banned for tampering with game files.
The slave mentality is strong.
Does the android fix work? Animation speed is cancer
I know this thread is a bit old, recently renewed... but does this framerate fix still work for android?
I was trying to locate the file mentioned in the Reddit post but I couldn't find one with the same name under "data".
Any mobile wizards know more about this?
