My buddy and I have been playing and we were trying to think of a way to make murlocs a bit more balanced. It seems like if George gets murlocs its a good chance he will get first place because divine shield murlocs are just super powerful. Murlocs just also seem to get very beefy from the brann buffs too. I almost think the only card that is a problem is toxfin. Maybe just boosting him up to a tier 6 card could make it more fair. I actually feel like overall the game is decent I enjoy playing most of the builds including murlocs just feel like poison should be a bit rarer than what it is right now.

Murlocs have always been hit or miss (top2 or bottom2), but now it is more extreme than ever, as other things outscale them and poison is their only saving grace.
Imho toxfin needs to be removed from the Battlegrounds pool and instead Scalelord should be added to the pool (the Dragon that gives them Divine Shield).
That would make murlocs a bit similar to Dragons, but at least it would make them more balanced and it would be a hit to scam comps.
Amalgadon makes Murlocs obsolete in the late game, imo. Divine Shield + poisonous trumps high health + poisonous. And with Murloc boards generally dealing very little damage due to the low tier minions, your opponents are generally gonna have the time to find them.
"Poisonous" should be a rare stat (as evidenced by the fact that we have a 1/1 poisonous minion is tier 5), and the DS/poisonous combo should be nonexistent outside of Curator/George, imo.
Amalgadon doesn't make it obsolete at all I think Amalgadon is just a fair card in general. I don't think you're right though as I have played and seen way too many poisonous murlocs destroy some crazy comps just because they had high enough health due to brann or having divine shield.

Remove Toxfin and make poison exclusive for few specific high tier minions (T5-T6).
Tone down all numbers for minions and heroes. At this point, If board gets too beefy, only counterplay is poison and since lack of Toxfin makes poison much more scarce, overall late game stats must be lower.
Remove Brann, because this card is just too highrolly for certain builds.
Give Murlocs few buffs in mid and especially late game.

I miss the “adopt your murlocs” era that’s for sure.
