Sure, changing Khadgar removes a lot of the incentive to firewall exploit, but even without that, Pirates and Elementals can benefit substantially from extended turn times.
Simplest answer might be to lower any maximum turn length there is, so that someone who firewall DCs won't get a longer turn than a normal player.

After watching video presented in this article I can only say that people who do that are only cheating themselves into thinking that they are having fun. This looks exhausting!
And for what? For higher rating? Aren't one in Battlegrounds matched against other people of the same rating? So the higher rating one has, the more and more he'll be facing cheaters like himself until he reaches a rank high enough where there will be only cheaters left.
That'll be great fun, I'm sure. I expect a lot of "I QUIT!!!!" threads popping up all over the place xD
So Blizzard doesn't really need to do anything. System that's already in place will eventually balance itself.
What i understand from the devs' statement is that this can be fixed but it would require large scale changes and they don't want to do that before trying other solutions.
The first change, coming in about a week, is that Khadgar+Brann (or multiple Khadgars) will not be able to produce more than one triple each time.
That still lets Pirates abuse it, but that's not a major problem, unlike facing a 30-40* board on turn 8!
What's unfair is depending on your battle animations and length some players get more time than others. Turn time should be a fixed amount. People using this exploit are just ensuring a fair timer, everyone should do it.
Classic blizzard solution, trying to cure symptomes instead of the illness. The problem is the game itself, the animations are way too long, especially if someone has Elistra etc. You end up with turns of 60 seconds in the late game! Or if you want to play patches/pirates, all the animations fuck up the game. Wish they would fire Iksar already, he is so far away from the reality. I play on PC, mobile, tablet and on all 3 devices you get fucked by these stupid animations. BG has several issues (facing the same opponents over and over, damage u take in the early game, etc etc) and they just do nothing.
Very reasonable as well. Imagine that, you guys are not blizz devs and are already balancing the game with solutions in less than a week... frustrating for sure, it just shows how complacent most of the player base is.

Yes and no. Long combats can eat into time, and it'd be great for Bliz to fix that. Exploit doesn't just equalize the game with those who have normal-length combats, it gives a substantial and unfair bonus.
Adding a longer minimum turn length would probably be a really good thing for the game, but capping the maximum so that FW Exploiters don't gain a benefit over folks who aren't cheating is more important. However, why not both?
Does anyone know when this is going to be addressed? Tired of losing to these cheaters...

Well, Iksar said that they're probably changing the way that brann and khadgar work together, so I think we'll have some news about it soon.
😂 this is the first thread about it and it’s been going on for how long. I saw ama they fix chadgar but who knows if that will fix it

How about minimizing animations so that anyone can make such builds, with or without the exploit?
HIGH LEVEL PLAYERS EXPLAIN THE PROBLEM!
HIGH LEVEL PLAYERS!
