Galakrond. Despite of reputation of "highroll" hero he is very good at getting to top 3 too, it's the only hero in the game who have 50% top 3 finishes. Too bad that an iconic top 3 hero, Deryl, isn't good enough anymore.

Yeah, Galakarond but take the 2 drop on turn one - nothing is a safer 4th minimum, rather than go for the high-roll. Elise and Al'akir are obviously solid as said already, personally I find Ysera really reliable too.
I think I'd pick Ragnaros. Even though he's a slow starter, there's almost always a good target for him on 3, and the hero power helps so much with bad rolls in the midgame. I hate taking early damage, but I'd rather lose 15 HP in the first 6 rounds and stabilize, than botch all my rolls on Tavern 4 with heroes that get me there safely.
I never really had a bad run with Kael'thas either, but he wouldn't be my first pick.
Patches. Pirates are amazing midgame, and free pirates help a lot. if I ever really lose with a good pirate deck it's to a mega-elemental or Dragon build, or Poisonous Murlocs, both of which are going to be top 2 builds anyways
Galakrond for sure. If you play him the safe way, youre going to dominate the early game. Don't go for the highroll builds, instead take a tier 2 minion on turn one, and go from there. You're going to have decent health going into those critical rounds
I still think George is a very safe bet - whatever build you go for, having divine shields on tap is never a bad thing, and i rarely seem to have a bad run with him - but respect other opinions for sure.
for sure - but (for me anyway) its usually only when its Heads Up that an opponent will play a ghoul specifically to counter me - but maybe thats because im only a 7k ranked player playing in that standard of lobby lol. But yes, take your point. I still think hes a safe top 3 hero though.
