Whats going on with ragnaros. why add him its so OP easy MMR I haven't lost as him and have lost to him almost every time someone has a loose idea of what to do. What is your people's experience with him. I think its a joke and should be removed
Eh. I could see him getting tweaked to kill 25 minions before getting sulfuras, but I don't think he's out of control. If his WR continues to be far above even Jandice, I bet Blizz will take some action. (Though I suspect part of Jandice being weaker now is an overall lower probability of mechs being in the lobby.)
With all the minions generating tokens after dying, his “quest” is laughably easy to complete. And then you just win the lobby. You also generally complete the quest around the time you’re getting to tavern 4, so if beasts are in and you get hydra, you can extra enjoy.

Not out of control? He has an average placement of 2.96. Not ever in the history a hero game even close. It is 0,6 above Janice, which is already OP (with mechs/pogo).
Nah his quest should be something like "win 4 combats", current quest leads to no active decisions just safely curve out and you get hero power activated when reaching tier 3-4.

Are you kidding me?
Whats the point of shit like goldgrubber if you can just play rag? It's moronic as fuck. They added quest in battlegrounds and the reward is get top 2.
The one game I played rag, I was pirates and decimated everyone and I never got the goliath I was looking for to complete my build.

Exactly this. He’s the only hero in the entire game where you could purposely just pick some random build with no synergy and easily get top 4.
He gives more stats than lightfang that are targeted, require no tribe thinning, and are compacted into only two minions which is better when you can power-buff cleaves and divine shield minions.
I just played a rag game that was almost embarrassing. I was going good stuff until tier 3, then elementals switch. I got matched up against Edwin going mechs and lich king going beasts. Against Edwin I killed an extra 4 tokens off of replicating menace and the harvest golem. It feels like playing deathrattle token generators is a huge liability in this meta. I got sulfuras in record time and nomi, then cruised to an easy victory. Everyone I got matched up with from turn 9 or ten was eliminated. There was an Omu that had 25 health, second place out of six left, he got sixth place. I liked winning but it sort of felt like cheating, everyone else in the lobby were placed by who got matched up against me.

Ok. Ok. Ok. I played a few more games against Rag, and I now feel I that you all are correct, and that I need to retract my initial statement.
And making it 25 minions to kill wouldn't really impact much, I think. I think maybe 30 or 35 could help? If he got sulfuras 2 turns later, there would be a much greater chance of someone knocking him out before he goes bananas.
Pogo Hopper Jandice is way way worse for the game right now.
I think Rag is probably worse for the game, because Rag is entirely braindead--it just does the stuff without any input--and Jandice, while strong, still requires some modicum of thinking.
To be sure, just remove Pogos and Jandice becomes a very interesting and probably healthy hero, but Rag is busted strong while being trivially easy.

After playing some more :
Jandice is a lot weaker if no mechs are available, so my conclusion is that pogos are busted with jandice, but overall pretty balanced without.
Rag is overall just very strong in any game right now after Sulfuras & Jandice cannot focus her buffs on 1 big minion unless it's a pogo (which cant cleave or windfury or poisonous like a buffed Rag minion can)
Rag can also buff something non-tribe very easily like a Zapp like no other.
Compared to the new 4 heroes, Rakanishu might sound strong on paper early game, but lategame 2 coins for +6/6 random doesn't compare to Rag constant +4/4 .
Rag could be balanced in a few ways, more minions killed, add a coin cost, or change the +4/4 to something else.
Overall buffing with Rag is too easy and cheap, Edwin needs to buy minions, Pyramad is random, Rakanishu is random. Sylvanas sacrifices a minion, Mukla gives other players bananas too, Jaraxxus only buffs demons.
Edwin had the advantage of targeting something , at a cost, but now rag just completely eclipses all the other buff heroes imo.

Agree with all of this, except I don't think it will be the +4/4 that gets changed, since Rag is all about 8s. (Original card is an 8-mana 8/8 that does 8 damage randomly, so I think the +4/4 to two things is to be consistent with that.
I still feel like jandice is a bigger problem. But sure, Rag might be next on the list, he seems pretty damn OP.
I will state I did have Rag run where I got unlucky with the early minion rolls, and ended up with several early rounds where I hardly killed anything, and it snowballed into a really poor run as the hero power only came online the round I died.
This doesn't happen with Jandice if you know what you are doing, you don't need pogos, there are plenty of other combos that are almost as busted, whether its cycling murloc buffers or hydras with momma bears or whatever...
Not sure what ya´ll are on about. Got Rag for the first time today. Rarely have I played so bad. Got a lil rag and never played another elemental. Played the 3/1 mech, summon 3 1/1s, without using the "magnetic" ability. buffed my selfless hero. Had my gold grubber along with a golden though - had that going.
Had a weird game with Rag today. One player left at the beginning and i was matched 4 times against him ... so he had no minions and i could not get Sulfuras ... last place was mine ;-)

But if the game goes normal, Rag is safely top 4.
I had a weird game against rag today. I was playing Omu and went dragons, but everyone else in the lobby was power leveling right along side me. Nobody had a full board of minions until much later than usual and most players had t5 minions when they did have a full board. Rag got sulfuras online a turn or two before dying, sixth place, but someone dropped. I got 3rd, Reno won with a golden Brann murloc squad.
It seems the best counter for rag is for the whole lobby to play against him and play as few minions as possible, move up in TT as fast as possible and avoid deathrattle token generators. So yeah, the counter is a concerted effort from up to seven other players, easily done and happens all the time.

My first game with Ragnaros, you might have a point. Maybe make it 25 minions?

Piloted Shredder, Knife Juggler, Mad Scientist, Dr. Boom
Need to be removed from this game
That’s a good idea!

I find it funny that he got bumped from the worst hero to the best.
