Poison crushes them. Got Brann (the hero) so went for Murlocs. Top 4 was me with Murlocs vs 3 Elementals. Crushed them easily. I don't usually say that the game was easy, but this one was, they couldn't do anything.
So even if Elementals happen to be broken in the near future, at least they have a clear counter.
the hardest thing with murlocs is to get to the endgame. they suck hard in the midgame and you can easily take +20 damage in one round then
Just rank up like crazy till tier 4. Even in today's fast meta you most likely won't die as easily, especially since even though the mid-game sucks, early game isn't actually bad. And on tier 4 you start stacking up poisons.
i just got 25ed on turn 8 and that is the reality atm. even with 2 golden minions (one selfless) and an early grubber i didn't had a chance. the game is so damn fast atm, i really don't get it why...
You were unlucky. There always is someone who highrolled and crushes everyone. Sometimes the difference between being 6th and 3rd is who faces them first and gets 25 to the face (true story, when I was playing with my friend, we both went the same comp, my was objectively better and I was killed early by huge damage and he managed to dodge the player who killed me and ended up 3rd).
Lil' Rag, Nomi or both need to be pushed to tier 6. They are the real endgame of elementals, their current t6 are just tools to accelerate already rolling snowball.
They just start going galactic way earlier compared to other tribes, and it's not uncommon to see 2-3 people dominating them.
Lil Rag isn't that much of an issue and offers similar increases to Brann + Buffs or Lightfang, even tho he is a bit more flexible but not AoE. Early Nomi is way worse for the health of the game. The issue with Nomi is that on 6 he comes online waaaaaaay too late, since you can't get stats onto your already existing board (unless your triple).
Overall I think removing Nomi altogether and limiting Rag's buff to elementals would be the best way to go forward. The latter would be a direct buff to elementals as a tribe but a nerf to Rag's versatility.

I keep thinking about swapping Rag and Executus. Not the tavern tier, but the name and elemental tag. Let Rag buff the left-most minion and be a Tavern 4 Elemental (still a 4/4 since he's half the elemental of real Ragnaros), let Executus be a Tavern 5 non-elemental who gives +X/+X to a random minion. I think losing the elemental tag on the X/X effect is a minor nerf to it (doesn't get elemental buffs, and it can't be generated by effects like Djinni or Statis), and gaining the tag on leftmost-buff is a minor buff... Reason being is that the leftmost-buff is just a slightly stronger version of a Tavern 2 Elemental, and kinda uninspiring for a Tavern 4.
Also, swap Garr and Nomi in tavern tier (maybe Garr gets a slightly attack reduction to like 7). Garr's a lot safer at 5, since an out-of-control Garr can be countered by a single poison, but an out-of-control Nomi can't be. Nomi probably goes up to like 6/6 in stats, at Tavern 6, too.
Lieutenant Garr is my new biggest minion ever made, a fair 58/410 able to rape all opponent's board. Before it was a Pogo-Hopper 168/168 made with Jandice. Elementals are busted. I was dragon, I switched elementals.
Ive just had a good run with dragons when i noticed everyone else was elementals, but ATM its go elementals to win and try to win the race for the minion pool. :(
I had another disgusting run with Elementals: Al'Akir + golden Wildfire Elemental + golden Majordomo, in the last fight I had a 92/84 Divine Shield, Mega-windfury, cleave. My opponent didn't even get to attack once..
Yeah I had issues playing dragons too, they have hard time competing with elementals now.
Eles start getting huge at tier 5, and they have a lot of scrying tools (tier 3 and 5 elemental) to help them find lil' rag or tripples.
Meanwhile dragons at tier 5 start falling behind hard, they HAVE TO get Kalecgos out of their first t6 discovery or they can't compete in stats vs elementals and end up getting double 20 dmg losses in a row
Another game where entire top 4 was elementals, 2 people had double nomi other 2 had double rag, everyone was mindlessly cycling them and getting galactic.
Late game is ruined right now, you either get Galactic elementals or build divine shield/poison board to counter them. Everything other tribe is just a desperate build to stay in top 4.

Elementals are too strong, Ragnaros & too (especially Rag). Really need some nerfs to get back to competitive games.

Even with the nerfs and buffs elementals are still very strong, probably too strong.
