Then come up with a solution that will be fair for everyone instead of being an ass. You can make people who fought themselves previously have fixed order of attack (if in the last battle you attacked first, now they do). But in fights between players who haven't battled before there's no other solution than a coin flip.
If you are player A and fight player B, C and D, each for the first time, and every time you attack second, it's fair.
First attack is supposed to be a coin flip. When you lose 3 winnable battles in a row because opponent attacked first, it feels bad.
The minions attack enough like idiots trying to throw every winnable battle as it is, letting every opponent attack first too is a killjoy experience.
This especially matters playing or playing against Pirates, but also in a meta where mega swipes are becoming common because of beasts.
Have some sort of counter that tracks "attacked first" and the player that has attacked first less goes first.
One of the better things about Battlegrounds is only bottom 4 players can fight ghost, they can fix this too.
I see why you'd think that, but it's a bad idea. There shouldn't be a pity-timer on going first. It'd literally being Bliz rigging matches. Just no. Separate RNG each time is the only fair way to go.
according to the playerbase, over 60% cares. battlegrounds saved this atrocity of a card game
Still no one cares it’s auto battler you are NOT going first and you don’t attack it auto so why do u need a first vs second. When I play a slot a machine I don’t ask the attendee to let me win first lol.

You will be going first half the time so how is this unfair or game breaking?
If your board is so dependant on going first it's not the game that's the problem but your comp. Better decisions will lead to more rng protection throughout games.
I agree, I was competing the first place with one player for 3 rounds, and he was first attacker for 3 times, it is just ridicules.
I, too, was competing for first place with the same person for 3 rounds. But I was the person who went first all three times. Maybe it was me? I was playing Parrot>Bomb>Baron with Lich King.

Player A vs. Player B. Both didn't attack first in the last 5 battles. Who's gonna attack first now?
There is no fair solution, except by chance
Probably one of your teachers slapping you with a fish, if you think that scenario could happen if they implemented any possible fix.

Nothing really fairer than an equal chance you will go first is there?
Actually a very simple rule can be implemented: count the number of times a player has gone first over the course of the match.
When 2 players fight, compare this variable and give the first attack to the one with the lower value. If they are equal, coin flip.
It'll definitely skew the impression of having bad luck and make things seem more fair.
ignore
Super annoying when you never attack first. Last game I played he same opponent 3 times in a row and he attacked first every time.

If it's in the general HS forum, no one, and that's a fair comment.
If it's in the BGs subforum? Well... the folks in this subforum. Try to be a good guest.

Illidan's ability literally is attacks first though
Having more cards with charge, and giving charge priority, could be a very interesting, and less random fix.

Here's an even simpler rule.
Get over it.
Cleave Illdian *gasm*
I used to force beast every single time I play ill because I know ill get macaw buff.

Read this again and tell me it makes sense.
AT ALL.
The way people's brains don't work is horrifying.

I read it perfectly fine .
