read your response to me, and tell me you don't "have an opinion" go ahead.
or you having trouble with English? i can answer you in Español if its easier for you.
Of course I have an opinion, that doesn't mean I'm looking for others' approval here like you. And just because people sometimes agree with Blizzard, doesn't mean they are sheep.
A small tidbit of info from a casual f2p perspective. I like playing card games for 1-2 hours every 2-3 days. I also like to open a pack or two every time I log in.
In MTGA , when I do this I get the following ~2500g(2,5 packs quivalent) from 3 quests and daily wins plus 1-2 packs from XP season pass (the free one).
In HS, when I do this I get ~200 gold(2 packs) from 3 quests and wins + 0,5 pack per visit from the brawl. Now if HS implements this pass BUT REMOVES daily quests and furthermore makes it so that capping out wins = cap out XP (in order to get the rewards), the game will become even more inaccessible for the f2p crowd who doesn't live in the game to grind. (I've maxed out my daily wins only once in 5 years).
Now I've played HS for 5 years now, but if they do this, I'd quit. For good.
So what does this do for guys like me who earn 10k gold between expansions and hasn’t bought a single back since the grand tournament?
It means you'll only be getting 3990 gold for every expansion now. So basically you're capped at opening only 39 packs when a new expansion hits if you don't preorder. ActivisionBlizzard™ doesn't want you to collect lots of gold and open lots of packs at the start of the new expansion, they would rather force you to pay up instead. Oh, but don't worry, you'll get an additional 18 packs later down the line in 4 months time.
This should be enough to pay for Kotick's 10th yacht and a new 5th mansion, they still won't pay their employees living wages though.
I hope that if they do that, there aren't any seasonal rewards like in DOTA2, only rewards we can keep. More cosmetic stuff like alternate card artworks seems like a cool idea though.
I myself like the game and play it from time to time. Spent some money in the past but not anymore. With the daily quests and grinding monthly to rank Diamond 10 in 4 months I collect about 8000 gold for the next exp. With the battle pass I will be able to collect no more than 4000 gold. I think the idea of that battle pas is stupid and will kill the game for the f2p players(I consider myself as f2p).
Well it’s their game they can do what they want. However, it’s massive bull shit. I’ve poured six years into this game. I may never pay for packs but I’ve bought extra content along the way. They will lose every f2p player. There is a lot. But, maybe our 20-30 dollars here and there doesn’t matter.
This seems like a kick in the teeth for ftp players to me. And this game wasn't all that friendly to f2p players to begin with.
I mean, how will I get epic cards now? before I'd be sure to get 6 or 7 every expansion. Now I'm looking about 2-3. It's ridiculous.
I honestly don't even do much but complete the quest anymore. So, maybe I'm exactly the type they want to weed out. If that's the case, then kudos Blizz.
Remember most games are not F2P. If you're complaining that Hearthstone wouldn't be as fun if you had to pay money, then there is no shame in finding out some things cost money.
If Hearthstone was a kids game then they probably wouldn't care too much about pouring money into it. It's not. Most people playing it have money. Most of you complaining about having to pay or being a casual player have money, just too stingy, spend it on coffee or fast food.
We're talking about 50$ once every 4 months. If you can't afford that then you should be playing with less cards. Plain and simple.
IF the quests disappear entirely that would be quite horrendous, i barely just finish the quest and maybe just 2-5 games after that a day and gtfo for the rest of the day. if the quest sucks or i reroll into one i can't be bothered with i leave immediately. after a couple legend runs in a row it lost pretty much all of it's incentive, being meaningless in the long run. basically just trying to complete the set as far as i can and that's pretty much it. if this season pass thing comes into fruition as i think it will i'm just gonna sell the account and goodbye to blizzard entirely
they're somehow legendary in screwing up everything for years on end, pretty impressive honestly (well, they had a lot of training in being terrible to customers and their so far loyal players, most likely won't stay this way for much longer

It's not Pay to win, it's pay to have fun.
No, it's pay to be forced to play, otherwise you Will lose your money for nothing, this pass wouldnt be a big deal if Blizzard wasnt deleting daily quests with it, be forced to grind get miserable 3900 gold in 4 month or pay to still grind and get maybe more rewards (cause remember battlepasses requires a Lot of time yo complete not just the payment) or maybe not, cause you had the money bit not the time, + paying the preorder because the battlepass wasnt enough to open packs.....a lot of people can't afford yo pay sometjing like that. And is worse in countries with weak money, Here in argentina will be imposible, Even preorders which are the cheaper bundles are expensive
Edit, battlepass should be an extension, something opcional for those who are willing to Pau for extra rewards, not the main resource generation for the player.

your right, how much i hate to see this, would still play with the new battlepass but dont expect me to play any futher after capping the xp.

i really don't think they care too much about f2p players (specifically new ones)
and the ones who bought packs with real money or have been in the game for years are not gonna quit
in poker you would call that "pot-committed", meaning your collection and everything you worked or paid for, easy as that
so basically they can do pretty much whatever and people still log in every day

every card game is doing this.
yeah, but this way to do it is terrible

The game will die when it takes 10 mins to que.
how much is this tho. If it's above $30 it's not worth it. I'll pay a max of $20.
