Megasaur removed and replaced with that dragon that gives divine shield. Removed massive RNG element from Megasaur but can't mass give murlocs poisonous.
Brann is the issue. Anyone claiming megasaur is the issue is a low mmr player. Brann needs to go to 6 or be removed.
Just today I won with murlocs not seeing a single Brann for an entire game. Brann is almost an auto - win - agree. But he's not the main issue, because Murlocs are easily the best tribe even without it.
Yeah, I won 2 games in a row with murlocs. 1 with Brann, and 1 without. Just tier up and get a megasaur or a brann and you'll finish 1st. When you're unlucky you still finish second.

I would just remove murlocs entirely. Do something different (like pirates!!). Murlocs are boring and dumb. Get rid of 'em.
Or if you REALLY want to keep them, kill of both Megasaur and Bran (Bran is utterly useless unless you play Murlocs and very rarely if you play Kadghar).
Every single game I've gone in in the last couple of weeks is like...play murlocs or lose. You'll still probably lose with murlocs but at least you have a chance. If you play something else, guaranteed to lose to murlocs. The funnest games were the ones where Murlocs were excluded. Wish they'd just stick to those and add something new going forward.
It's interesting how much salt there has been over murlocs since Pirates were introduced. All things considered, Pirates did nothing to make Murlocs stronger, they don't excel at taking out Murloc counters (ghoul, transitioning to your own lesser of two evils, can't beat 'em join 'em, etc.). What DID happen was that Mackerel was taken out of the game. Mackerel was damn near unstoppable in a full murloc build, but ... what it DID do was give other builds an opportunity to counter murlocs.
I doubt everybody will like the idea, but maybe if they reintroduce Mackerel, it will actually balance the scales a bit? There will be an opportunity to counter the stacked murloc board with your own unit ... and it would also bring Menagerie builds back on the map.
This is just conjecture. No matter what Bliz does to try to balance the meta, people will always complain about whatever beats their hand. Same reason why it's pointless to remove the penny from circulation ... because then the nickel will be frowned upon the same way.
To be honest they should just take brann out or move it to tier 6. When demons were busted you used him to give the 3/1 an insane amount of health, now with murlocs he's straight up broken. Let brann be a hero and not a card on battleground. It sucks but it's the best thing to do
problem with murloc is, BG has no punishment for going super late comp. 40 hp is a bit too much. I want to build an early comp, but I barely deal enough dmg until I got choked hard by some random murlocs.
You can high roll any other class and you will still lose to murlocs. Poison is the issue, always has been. It's fine to have it in things like the 2/8 beast guy, that's totally balanced. But giving your whole board poison is stupid. Nothing else can compete with that.
Just played another game. Tried playing something else...lost to a board full of mediocre P/T murlocs who happened to all have poison and d/s...lost and died. I would have won the fight if they were just D/S but you know....that's not how murlocs roll. Great fun.
They absolutely need to do something ... ideally a hotfix ASAP. I just came in fourth with an OKAY (but fun) menagerie build. Guess what the other THREE players were playing. They all had a full board of poisonous murlocs with 40 - 60 health. All three of them. That shouldn't be possible.

I feel like you used to be punished for forcing murlocs, especially when other players also forced murlocs. Now it is insane. I am to the point where I concede with murlocs are in the tribe pool. I don't care about my rating enough to play the same thing over and over.

I definitely DON'T understand why they pushed the 4/4 deathrattle beast to 6. That made no sense to me. Beasts are completely unplayable now.
Murlocs need to be changed or deleted ASAP. Was playing a game where everyone except me went murlocs. Why? Because they are the best tribe to get that highroll free no thinking 1st place. And when there is Brann or Shudder, don't ever think of winning when they go murlocs.

Well, Tess and Illidian didn't necessarily go for Murlocs. They could have easily have mixed minions comps. Also early game for Murlocs is quite ok - their mid-game sucks - so picking Murlocs at the start just to transition to another comp later on, happens from time to time.

I really never thought that Bran is the problem... Its only OP in context of murlocs and balanced or even weak in other build.

I had a game where 7 out 8 players went murlocs..that was straight up stupid..
