This was always inevitable with BG. How long can such a simple little sidegame hold anyone's attention? I mean, the strategy is known and is not going to change significantly from patch to patch. Everyone once in a while, you learn a new hero or new card, but the main idea is always the same. It doesn't take long before you feel like every game is an instance of deja vu.
At first i was also in the "There must be one dominant lategame archetype" ,and that Murlocs are somewhat balanced because they are mediocre in the early/midgame, but if you see EVERY frickin Lobby at least 3 guys forcing Murlocs because it just works for one guy you know we have a problem.
I don't understand how long blizzard just let's this go on. Poison Murlocs is clearly killing the game mode currently.
Having infinite attack should just not be possible. Having a 10/15 Murloc killing a minion with triple health is very unbalanced. And like others say, it happens every single game and there's just nothing you can do about it. Sure, Divine shield. But that only saves you from 1 attack, while during the endgame you always attack multiple times with each minion.
I only play 4 or 5 games of battlegrounds a week but the race to poison / divine shield murlocs in every game ruins what is otherwise a fun game mode. Why blizzard haven't removed gentle megasaur yet , or at least it's ability to give poison, is a total mystery to me.
Murlosc are high risk, high reward, nothing bad about it. Murlocs sucks at early and mid-game, and most lobby is playing exactly midgame builds, therefore playing murlosc from beginning is not a best option and always high risked.

That argument would be true, if you couldn't transition into an end-game viable murloc build in 1 or 2 turns from basically an empty board.

The only risk playing murloc at the moment is that one of the other 3 or 4 people playing murloc comps getting an early Brann / Megasaur and to a lesser extent Bargurgle before you.

This is exactly why Megasaur needs to go. If one minion allows you to instantly change warbands then something isn’t right. It’s why Goldrin got nerfed.
I am now at 40 back to back games with Murlocs as a tribe. It should have a 16% chance of not being in the game, yet here I am. It's absolutely mind-blowing. At this point I should play the lottery.
I got huge ass dragons with golden kalecgos, double Nedina and what?
Enemy had only 5 murlocs but it doesn't matter because my 50/50 dragons had all their divine shields popped by f****g 1/1 plants. Their endgame is too absurd when their low-mid roll can delete galactic level of other tribes.
Murlocs are still cancer. Even without divine shield the huge stats with toxic is so obnoxious. I just got second with an almost all golden pirate lineup to ALL toxic murlocs and a couple had stats over 100/100. It was Fungalmancer with Brann....

Cancer implies that it's widespread.
The murloc hero getting bran *should* be able to get jacked. If it happens once in a while that Murlocs are 100/100 and win, that's fine, same as it's fine for 100/100 dragons to happen sometimes on a god-roll on Millhouse or Alex or whatever.
What can't happen anymore is for someone to just switch to murlocs late-game and close everything out with tiny 6/6 Divine Shield Poison tokens. They don't appear to be consistent game-winners, even if they sometimes win.

Hearthstone is for the vulgar. If you happen to play you endure vulgarity.
