Literally everyone plays this build right now. And its almost impossible to beat, even a godtier Murloc build struggles to beat this. This patch made BG 100 times worse, hands down.
It probably needs a nerf, there's little doubt about it. Blizzard tracks performance data for cards, and I'm sure the data is telling them the same story right now. It's just really good at every point in the game, AND it's a beast!
And it's extremely badly designed because it often results in crushing the other for 20+ damage if you go first, or just losing if you go second. Sooooooooooooooo bad
I found no struggle at all using divine shield poison murlocs so far all three times I have faced that build with them it has been an easy win. Windfury is a big help after getting the shield and poison.
I don't really understand why it triggers on attack even when it dies when overkill is a mechanic in BG. If macaw was overkill instead of a guaranteed activation it'd be fine, maybe even too weak actually.
Macaw is busted, everyone should know it by now. Bliz needs to address this sooner than later. Also Arcane Canon and Pirates in general gives too much advantage to the player who atks 1st, poor design.
Murlocs beat it. Murlocs win almost every lobby from what I can see so far.
Megasaur is what people should complain about. Macaw is maybe a little strong but the macaw build doesn't for free beat/outscale every other possible build and it's also a tavern 5 build that isn't that strong until then.
Canon is a more problematic card but only because they refuse to cap the damage taken, so canon leads to massive early game blowouts decided on coin flips. Almost all the frustrating aspects of this mode come from your starting HP being too low and/or damage being too high, giving you no time to assemble comps.
I'd like to see how it looks with Spawn of N'Zoth out of the game. Get rid of that mid-game carry combo and suddenly rushing Macaw builds to 5 becomes a high risk strategy.
Always worth noting: Mackerel couldn't be nerfed, only removed. It was already Tavern 6, and the stats didn't matter since Poison is infinite attack, and Divine Shield can be infinite health, depending on attack order.
Macaw *can* and almost surely *will* be nerfed.
Cannon--whether or not it's too strong--is super FeelsBadMan. That sort of massive early-game RNG swing based on first or second attack is pretty unfun. Save it for late-game Ghastcoiler and Sneed's.

Yes yes it is too strong especially on 2 and everyone both knows and agrees on this. Just like hook tusk.
Blizz has shown in the past they balance things out, and they will here.
No idea what you mean...
