Something similar happened to me yesterday but it was just Wrath Weaver, they all stayed in Tier 2 or 3 just to focus on that minion. Blizzard because the hell you didn't move Wrath Weaver to Tier 2, besides the beasts need a buff either from Tier or a new beast.
I was playing Mech. Made it to the final battle. Got my golden Junkbot, just in time. Went to play it… and the timer ran out. (Stupid animation!) Watched in horror as the card drifted back to my hand. Argh!!!!
Compared to beast builds? Not as much since you never want your pack leader or mama to get hit (and growing pack leader stats is impossible aside from hero powers so it's very often a 1 for 0 trade) and mech player actually want enemies to keep running into the Cobalt between shield refreshes.
the only thing i'm "salty" about with this mode is how any person can truly enjoy a very automated random nonsense "game" when the original mode is more than enough of that already. well, i guess you have some form of "control" there (not)
Little about me. I have never had a perfect run. I've always wanted a perfect run. I play around 6000. Not great (I concede too often when angry or bored lol and I don't really play for top four ... I go for #1 or bust). But I am okay.
I was gifted a great Tirion board. I had FIVE Bolvars early. I stomped people. Was going into the last battle with 40 health. I was ready. I was going to do it. It was with Tirion, which is a little cheap (I created the post bitching about Tirion after all lol) ... but I was going to do it! The perfect game. I didn't say those words out loud. You don't fuck with a streak.
"You can win this thing," Bob told me.
The board loaded. Divine shield poisonous murlocs as far as the eye can see. I didn't have a chance.
I did not have a perfect game. I conceded in shame.
Dear lord Battlegrounds freaking SUCKS right now. Worst meta of all time hands down! The changes they made to Watcher going to 4 and adding Tirion to the game have had catastrophic consequences for balance in the game. Literally, just wow these devs are complete boneheads. I'd say 75% of all games are just trash anymore. Rating plummeting. RNG fiesta that is ruled by Murlocs, Mechs, and whoever gets Tirion, as opposed to having all tribes with legit builds. HOT GARBAGE
Im sorry, but who the hell goes beasts these days in BG? It is the worst strategy you can go.
You don’t “go” beast, but sometimes it can line up. Beast builds can be very strong still but you need to get to rank 5 early. Deathrattle beasts is one of my favourite comps. Best hero for it is patchwork in my experience.
my biggest frustration is AFK. It seems like I ALWAYS face afk in their third power spike turn. EXCEPT when I have rafaam. Then IALWAYS face her on turn 2 when she has no minions. I actually tracked this for a day and the rng was absurd. 10 games with afk and 8 times it happened like this.

A response to this and an update to my previous salt post. I DID IT!! I had a perfect game with Patchwork. Ended with 50 health. With a deathrattle beast build!
Just had a great(ish) murloc run as Shudderwok. Had 5 triples at 5 ... not a single fucking megasaur. How is that possible? Brann never showed up either (was at 5 for about 5 rounds). I had a golden Zap ... wtf. Fuck this game.
This was a bad run. The fact someone has 55/55 minion without taunt doesn't mean all my minions have to attack it. And I mean 5 out of 5, the other 2 killed a taunter. That's other than losing all 50/50 with no exception, saw one weaver and only after tt3, not one juggler, and only one 5-star demon.
And why the hell do dragons have pre-combat damage? Should be when attacks, or at the least tt2.
Ugh, this game mode. You watch some cool clips of it, have a couple games where you roll well and think it'll stay fun - then you have games where you roll shit, and/or your opponent/s roll godly. It takes the RNG aspect of card games and tunes it up to the max, and honestly, the lows just don't seem to be worth the highs (at least to me).
I mean, two games ago Alex discovered Razorgore and Kalec. That's pretty much the the foundation of a winning build right there. Extremely good luck considering how many dragons they could have hit with their discover. But if that wasn't bad enough, the Alex in our last game discoverd TWO KALECs. One Kalec is enough to grow dragons to a win. Two of them is just stupid. Meanwhile, you have a 'menagerie' build (loose menagerie - you've taken what you can because you had no strong synergy offered), and are just trying to stay afloat (and failing) against high rolls and Cobalts. On that note, Cobalt seriously needs a nerf - likely tier 4. The problem isn't just that it's too good, but it's too good, too easy and comes out too early (that's the issue with Deathwing and Rat Pack - it's too good for so early).
Oh, and Zerus can suck a lemon. Even more high rolling - likely taken because the person mid or low rolled at some point (or were doing a hail Mary play as I once did), but Jesus it is so disheartening to see tier 6 units during tier 3. Had a Ysera in another game with a Foe Reaper and a Holy Mackerel at tier 4. The Mackerel was basically just an 8/4 - for the time being - but Foe Reaper so early is an amazing build around card.
/endrant - going to shelve the game mode until Kripp basically inspires me back into it (with the YT vid showing the a highlight game, as opposed to those low roll games I mentioned above XD)
They gotta fix some of the this board space crap. Imp Gang Boss, Imp Momma...they should spawn something if there is space...you are super screwed if you have multiples of these guys and get cleaved, they check all at the same time too see if there is space, so you can have like 3 empty spaces, they all check at the same time and go..."Nope there is no space no minions for you". It is stupid as hell, and MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE WHEN HALF YOUR BOARD IS EMPTY!
Cobalt is so dumb haha. On one hand I don't want it to go because if you just force take it, you get top 4 almost always. Just get 2 cobalts, buff them and then if the game feeds you menagerie buffs, take that, or go death rattle. Top 2 easy, first place pretty often, virtually never 7th or 8th.
Try any other strategy and you open yourself to getting 8th or just being a mediocre 4th place as Cobalt players just bash your face.
Facing this one player who has two triple jugglers and hits your minions for 14 dmg when a godforsaken 1 1 imp token kills itself.
Playing dragons, getting 3 triples on lvl4, no razorgore, level up, spend 20 gold on rolls, no razorgore. Then just slowly die because the early dragons don't scale at all unless you get a kalec razorgore combo.
Playing murlocs, start out really well then just poof, all murlocs gone, no brann no seer no bagurgle. Ever.
Although my absolute favourite: My whelp: hits wrath weaver and floating watcher, scratching them. Their whelp: hits my juggler, mama bear, pack leader, cobalt TWICE, defenestrate my cat, sexually assault my girlfriend and bury my mother. Love it.
Edit: just played against an Alex. She got 2 razorgores from heropower. Golden brann, golden lightfang, golden voidlord, the two razors, reaper and hydra. How in damnation can you get so lucky? She literally had to get 2 or 3 good minions every turn to pull this off.
I remember a game before prenerf of Floating Watcher. It turns out that everyone had a Floating Watcher or Wrath Weaver except me. I got a Wrath Weaver at the end guess no more demonions left.

But arent Cobalts vulnerable to be sniped too?

Piloted Shredder, Knife Juggler, Mad Scientist, Dr. Boom
Need to be removed from this game

Playing on iPhone. Had a strong Jaraxxus build. Cruising to #1.
Get a phone call. Knocks me out of the game. Hearthstone won't put me back in.
Still got 3rd, but seriously?

Isn’t one salt post enough?
if I don't set up an taunt order rng always leads to worst possible order and this is just a huge bullshit ! FUCKIN HELL

-get Deathwing for the first time
-no Rat Pack despite many rerolls early game
-every opponent has a Rat Pack
-rage quit
