It's ridiculous how Rat Pack a 🌟 🌟 unit can deal up to 7 which is more than a tier 6 can. Another example is rolling a Megasaur off of a Piloted Sky Golem. This disgusting rng should not exist and even when I am the recipient of good fortune from that sort of thing I feel bad for my opponent. As a side bonus it would make the games just a little longer which I for one would enjoy.
I think shredder and golem should be altered to drop minions based on stars (2 star / 3 star) because how am I supposed to know how much mana units cost in battlegrounds. Also we could use some kind of lower star Zapp because there's no option to snipe core tech cards behind the taunts right now.
I agree that tokens should never deal more damage than the original minion. This like getting punished because you are strong enough to finish the shredder and you should take more damage. It literally makes no sense. They need to remove all the outcomes that are same or highest tier than Shredder's tier. Same with Raptor and the other shredders.
I think that just making it so that every minion that comes from a deathrattle proc represents one damage would be a good fix. Hitting that Rat Pack last feels bad, but it also rewards the player that (probably) put buffs and ordered correctly to keep him alive. Taking an extra 4 because a Shredder that drops Toxfin is just ludicrous.
Ehhhh... It's kind of just part of the game. A board full of 120/120 Wrath Weavers and 150/150 Floating Watchers hits for 8 damage, yet getting 1 loss to a Baron Rivendare combo deals 27 if you die while killing the wrong minion. Token spawns are annoying based off that variance of damage, but it is what it is I guess...
The thing is, taking damage from Baron because you got unlucky on the trade RNG is fine. It's supposed to work like that. But taking 6 damage because you were STRONG enough to finish off the shredder cause it spawned a Megasaur is stupid. The problem is that Shredder spawns work on mana (they spawn 4 mana minions) when they cost 6 mana. The problem is that Battlegrounds work with Tiers and not mana, so a lower tier minion can spawn a highest tier minion because of the mana interaction, which should never be a thing.

I'm not talking about sniping a Baron, but taking a massive amount of damage because you were strong enough to kill off that last minion and Baron pops outs 4 5 mana minions instead of one.

I agree rng on DRs is sometimes crap. I got mecharoo and rat pack while opp on very same fight got sky golem and voidlord. Shit happens.

But mana does not exist in the Battlegrounds, so why should I bear the burden of knowledge and know minions mana cost?
I don't play regular modes so for me minion drops from shredder and golem seem totally random.
