As the title suggests, do you believe Battlegrounds should reward players with more gold? Personally, I have my own proposed system, but I would like to hear what everyone else who is still interested in the game mode has to say. I have an argument for both sides.
In favor of better rewards: Let's face it, a game of Battlegrounds can feel and be considerably longer than a classic game of Hearthstone. It feels like much more of a commitment, and in my opinion, despite the fact that it is technically an "auto-battler," there is a lot more to do and work on in a game of Battlegrounds than Hearthstone. Now, I may be wrong in saying it is longer, especially when it comes to where you place. I feel like Battlegrounds can take anywhere from 10-30 minutes, whereas a typical game of Hearthstone takes around 5-15 minutes, granted you aren't playing against Control Warrior. In addition to longer games, it is a battle of 8 people, which is much more than the standard 1v1. In general, it just feels like it takes a little more effort, with less resources however, to get gold from Battlegrounds.
In opposition of better rewards: While I mentioned earlier it was a battle of 8 people, I will acknowledge that 50% of those players will receive the win, so you still maintain that 4/8, or 1/2 chance of getting your win. Also, Battlegrounds is 100% FTP. When considering this, you must take into consideration that Blizzard is a business, and they most likely do not want players getting all of their packs for essentially free.
My proposed solution: The only fair thing I can think of, with consideration to my points above, is as follows:
1st Place: 3 wins towards 10 gold reward.
2nd Place: 2 wins towards 10 gold reward.
3rd and 4th: Standard 1 win towards 10 gold reward.
What do you think? Should Battlegrounds supply more incentive to play, or is it fine the way it is?
There's enough people out there that would mine 10 gold too fast for their liking. I agree that it would be nice if it were to be adjusted, solo adventures as well for that matter. Probably the fairest of all would for it to have it's own counter of 3 games to 20 gold. Yes, it would still be inefficient but it's something. Honestly, we're lucky it counts as all to daily gold.

I thought of the same thing. The only justification I could find was that it can be somewhat difficult to place in the top 2. So it isn't a guaranteed 10 gold per win or anything. I do agree with solo adventure incentive though.
Really love your idea! Sometimes, if my deck is just "meh," I'll quit once I'm in the top 4 because there's no benefit (other than the glory) of spending an extra 10 minutes to place higher.
I am sorry I don’t think it needs any better rewards. You’re not controlling how they attack I would love if gave no rewards. Why would u get rewarded for doing nothing in the game lol.
The problem is that in order to have rewards they would probably need to start charging for battlegrounds. They don't charge to play on ladder because you have to purchase cards to play there. They get nothing out of battlegrounds other than the fact that it draws people into the game. I like playing battlegrounds enough that I am ok with not getting much as long as its free.

Hello all!
