Can't play BG on my phone, so i wanna buy a I-pad for that purpose.
What sort of I-pad are you playing in and how is it running?
(Don't wanna buy the newest, but allso don't wanna buy to cheep)
Would not count on HS in general running very well on any IOS platform. There have been serious crashing issues since mid December. It took very long for Blizzard to patch the game (this week) and even after that I have had few crashes on it when playing on I-pad.
My Ipad is 2019 model (released in 2018 I think) running with 128 Gb constantly updated with latest IOS.
Mostly I can recover from crash, due to I-pad being relatively new and can relogin rather fast in case of game crashing.
I have experienced crashes on ranked, tavern brawl and battle grounds game modes (not playing arena).
Even though HS on IOS sucks (in stability point of view) I prefer mostly play with IOS as it is more "instant play" compared to PC, you can play a game or few in between without necessity of "booting" your PC (and I do have rather quick PC ;) ) and also play mobile if travelling etc. If I plan on playing longer session then maybe PC, but mostly on I-pad.
Still, if you want to be more succesfull in BG, better would play on PC if possible as PC is normally more powerful and UI is faster on PC with mouse than I-pad with finger, this leaves few more seconds between the battles for you to build your board.
Shortly put, I have been satisfied on HS in I-pad until December. Hopefully things normalize and not too many crashes are occuring now.
Late 2017th I think 9th generation 16 gb, non cellular, used only for games, YT and HBO/Netflix - game runs smooth as F, but iOS has crashes occur random.
However last patch is more stable, so the game experience is good, I have some crashes but nothing major and the 2+ years gaming iPad handles it flawless.
Best mobile tablet hands down for playing games, I tested QA games for Gameloft at 2012-2013 mainly on iPad ad from 2nd gen to now I am a HUGE fan. Even the cheapest version (was 200 USD when I took it for 9,7 16GB non-cellular it's still working flawless!!!)
