there are literally no decisions to make. u can't scout. u have no idea of any attack order (except taunts get attacked first). you are just giving in to a slot machine, hoping the right minions show up and your opponent hasn't the luck you have with attack orders and minions.
auto battlers are boring and brain dead enough, but the hearthstone iteration is especially bad and i really don't understand that ppl who find standard ladder boring are so positive about this. the reason has to be that ladder still is a challenge but players rather want to play casino then using their brains. altho the fact that cards like flamewaker are back in standard doesn't help the format at all..
kinda shows how bad hearthstone as a whole has become..
Its simple really, make mental notes of the unit/ tribes the opponents are using, if you are planning to use murlocs and realise 3 other heroes in the lobby are using murlocs and don't transition into another unit/tribe, all 4 of you are going to die early. This is why its sad that they removed Mukkla and Mrs. Manastorm, because smarter players in the lobby would sometimes target key unit/tribes for the respected heroes making it harder for them to scale to end game a fate the Jaraxxus now suffers because of his hero power. So as you play the game longer, with the timer allotted, you can use the hero stats at the left to make informed decisions on what you should be buying, keeping or selling. I agree that this would not always work out because of the limited pool of minions but its one of the many strats that will get you to top 4 more often than not.

compared to regular game this mod have way more strategies to follow and way more decision to make. If you ask me normal game is brain dead.
Now I will go and play with my selfmade deck in ranked lets see what happens.

Yep evolve shaman couldn't draw desert hare and former champ in time and lost lol what a strategy clap clap clap if he would draw only one of them he was going to win lol.
As you play the mode more you would be able to make your plays in your head 3 turns in advance, and therefore get faster at using the time allotted to you, and as you said the timer alludes part of the entrigue of the game and skill/apm testing. With that said I do agree some of the animations have to be tweaked especially for the tavern section.
For a start - the time you have depends on your and your previous opponent's build. People in here literally have their turns skipped, and I've started just before the rope before. If you think you can manage to buy three minions, sell one, play and sell two, buy one, play and sell five, then buy the last huge one for good Darryl in even 45sec, then you should be fine - but you often don't have that. I just ran out of time mid-Darryl, and I'd have won that combat with a successful dance on the previous recruit phase, which would have put me top three at least instead of dead at fourth. just start the timer from the end of the last combat to finish, and even shorten it a bit - and it'd be fine, IMO. The random inequality in time is a pain in the backside.
Even ignoring Darryl - who is a big issue with time - it's still possible to run out of time with multiple goldens after facing a many rover deck. And that sucks.
worst thing for me is that i voted for rust buckets on the battlegrounds brawl and didnt get my extra pack.is it being delayed that much or am i the only one who didnt get it?
Wouldn't be surprised if someone mentioned this, but it would be awesome if they'd give you an option to skip the fight and go straight to the result and shop phase - it certainly seems like the calculations are done almost instantly at the start of the round (if it's a last two players fight try emoting - if you actually see the emote, you're both still alive; if it doesn't show up someone died - but you can do this at the very start of combat, so it seems they already know someone died at that point).
The only thing worth talking about in this topic are the animations are too long and need to speed them up.
the worst is that the mode is boring as hell.
