It's fun enough, even though yes, there are clear lines to victory. Mech and battlecrybuffto40-40minions being particularly easy to pull off and win with.
But I guess if you are willing to try to win with unique routes then it breaks the monotony. Murloc is my go to for fun route, only won once so far with that.
Though it sounds like they are changing it every week so that's good.
It would be nice if there was a point to winning. Not sure what the point of the rating system is, other than mimicking chess. It's also not pay to win, yet. Is the point of the mode to draw in people to the other modes? I know, famous last words, probably something to pay for once it's out of beta
Guys every time I lose,if I lose at the same time with other players,I always get the lowest place. For example,If 3 people die including me, I am always 8th.Why is that?

They need to add something like tentacle of N'zoth or explosive sheep, spamming tokens is really rewarding/annoying and there's no good counter for it.
I also don't like how Cobalt Guardian works in this mode, there's just so many token spawning mechs and single divine shield can bring much more than +2/+2 for each token fed
The point of winning is the same as the point of winning any other game. This is a pastime, not a job.
If you think it's fun, the fun is your reward.
While I get where you are coming from, I'm not sure there's enough there that the fun I am having now will last. Eventually repetition does rear it's ugly head.
Though I get that rewards and progression in most games are a grind and serve the developers to keep you playing more than the gamer.
Honestly I don't really care if I get bored of the mode tomorrow and stop playing. I am more thinking of the overall lasting power of the way it's currently designed.

What's the point of playing standard? You're never going to get good enough to become a pro player and go to tournaments so why bother?
The point is to have fun and it has the same rewards as standard has (minus a handful of dust each month)
Battlegrounds isn't for everyone and I don't take OP seriously. For me this new game mode is a breath of fresh air. New expansion comes out and HS is fun for a few weeks or months depending on the meta. After that I get bored at rank 5 and play just to grind quests. BG for me is always fun and when I lose it doesn't feel as bad. HS while I great card game just gets old after while even with new cards. BG feels different everytime I play it.

I guess, I've never played standard much, so I can't relate, and I'm not sure if fun is something I would describe constructed as. It's more of a slough for new players who are actively working to get more cards, so I'd say there is progression there.
To me Battlegrounds has more in common with the adventure mode where you are playing against the ai and picking new cards each round. That was also great and a breath of fresh air when I first played it, but after about a month of playing it I never touched it again. And the subsequent modes that were very similar never quite reignited that itch.
Just to be clear, I think what it is now is fine, just I do think malaise will set in.
To me this game mode feels like more fun arena. Your cards are not locked, and its similar "discover system" that you can affect. The turns being random have not been problem to me, somehow it makes the game mode MUCH more enjoyable. It feels like everyone is on same page / level on this part and you can maximum focus on your board only.

You took more overkill damage than the others.

I love the premise of this thread. "I won 1 game. There's no value in ever playing it again."
