I can't think of a way to beat it they give it 50 cards so fatigue/mill wont work. Feeze mage doesn't work, zoo/flood decks don't work. wtf beats this bs? Didn't blizzard just not stop to think hey you can't actually ever win against this?
I thought of 1 win condition innervate innervate baron gadon but that seems ridiculous. ok my baron druid deck worked that is how you beat it if anyone else was as confused as i was.
Just play a Murloc deck with some AoE and go face 90% of the time. Also kinda admire your patience finding out for yourself and stuff seems like you tried quite some time.
wtf how did muloc work for you? for me turn 1 he played 3 wisp mulocs and the 1/2 guy that gains for each muloc played you never beat that opener with an aggro deck. anyways baron gadon druid is the answer. It runs no removal so once you get baron down you just win.
I got him second try with freeze mage. Before that I tried one game with tempo mage before realizing I'd have to get stupidly lucky to win.
I think you have to be a little lucky with drawing freeze cards. But he will mill himself way faster than you will and if you just play coldlight oracle, you can fill his hand up.
The version of the deck I made was nothing but draw and AoE spells. Wild Pyro, Sheep, abomination, blizzard, flamestrike, arcane explosion, doomsayer. Add 2x ice block to that.
The only burst he has in his deck is 1x Old Murk-eye. It's the one and only thing that can kill you after you stabilize, so if you put up a taunt you are still safe from his dumb murloc spells.
I'm sure you could play good threats like ClockWork Giant / Sea Giant too. In my game I kept him frozen / cleared for like 10 turns as I wittled him down, if I had a giant in play he'd have been dead a lot faster...
He probably gave me the most trouble of any heroic boss since early Naxx. Ended up beating him after about 10 tries and 3-4 deck changes -- finally settled on Echo Mage. Not exactly the fairest of fights, but definitely winnable.
Beat him on the first try with a freeze/tempo mage hybrid (no need for Alex or Antonidas obviously). Flamewakers + all the aoe at a mage's disposal = easy gg. Save frostbolts for warleaders and use cones of cold and ice lances if necessary to stall until blizzard/flamestrike turns.
Giantfin's AI is god awful. I played doomsayer against a board with warleader + two tinyfins hoping to soak some face damage, and it never traded. Instead it played three more murlocs onto the board and they all just died for nothing. My board was never under threat. It went pure face in my matchup.
I managed to beat the normal version with Face Hunter (thanks, based Explosive Traps), so I thought that Heroic might have required a similar strategy.
I tried Control Warrior, close but didn't work out. Managed to succeed with Frothing + as many aoe removals as possible, hit twice for 25+ and that was it.
Midrange Control Priest with a ton of AoE cards does wonders. I beat it first try with a deck that was filled with Unstable Ghouls, Abominations, Excavated Evils, Holy Novas, and things like Mind Control Tech.

He's harder than a twelve year old at a playboy convention, but he is beatable. I beat him on my twelfth try (I never net deck for these, thus the "issues") with a Druid filled with sticky taunts and then force of nature savage roar combo to otk. Too lazy to post deck list, but if someone wishes I shall.
Some tips:
Deathlord and abomination are your best friends. Amazing cards.
Combo priest did jack and shit for me, I don't see how everyone got good results with it, but than again I didn't net deck mine.
Tried fatgue Mage, seems like it could work if you got lucky, but I think my Druid was way more consistent (got it first try)

Amaz beat him first time. If he can beat him, so can you!
But yea, no, use Baron Geddon, he barely has any removal, so as long as you can consecrate your way to turn 7, you win
Got him on my first try with mill rogue
I've deafeated him using a hunter deck with explosive trap, sheeps, unleashe The hounds and MC-techs '-'
Combo priest is pretty easy. Wipe his board over and over with Wild Pyromancer, then mash his face with some Divine Spirited 20/20 monster.
I got him first try with a freeze mage deck that was using Counterspells to stop his mass revival spell.

Try my patron deck. Probably one of the easiest heroic wins. Much more consistent than the freeze mage decks imo.
Freeze Mage is definitively the answer here. However, Lord Slitherspear well that's another story for me...
here is the deck i used, give it a try...

Just 1 shot him with hunter.

I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.
