Not lucky enough to beat this boss. After 4 hours I finally get KT and a taunt down on turn 8 while at 9 health, only for him to swipe and Flamstrike away my stuff and go face. Serious luck here.

That's because you're wasting your time with the KT lock. Chromaggus is an extremely stupid fight and you are extremely unlikely to survive long enough to drop Kel Thuzad, let alone by some miracle also have a minion out.
Try ramp druid, it's the easiest consistant deck I think you can use. Wild growth into a big twilight drake or a violet teacher is almost an assured victory, especially if you have a molten giant to back yourself up.
After many many attemps, I'll say that ramp druid is the best option, and it's not great. There simply is no way to beat this boss reliably, they gave him too much of every possibly kind of advantage.
Not true, it's rather easy to drop KT with a minion on board or at the same turn if you play a deck full of Taunts + KT. Especially if you play Priest due to all the healing from Light of the Naaru and Circle.
Alright well play 10 games and see how many times you pull it off.
this is the deck I used, if you don't want to exploit with KT. it works pretty well, though as with any deck you have to give it a few tries and have a little luck. even when its unsuccessful it still feels like most of the time I could have stabilized with 1 more turn, and that's generally what I look for in a heroic deck. you could probably get rid of the Twisting Nether and maybe Bane of Doom, as I don't think I've used either in a successful match. possibly add a 2nd BGH and maybe a 2nd Demonheart, or a Faceless Manipulator. the 2 legendaries are probably replaceable even, though sometimes that jaraxxus heal comes at just the right time, and pulling mal'ganis off a voidcaller can always be clutch (even jaraxxus getting pulled out fights off his buffable minions, so that's not all bad).
i don't get why people don't just play a mage with spell-triggering minions. The fight is stupidly simple, you get rid of the mana-reducing afflictions while dropping two or tree trigger-happy minions then go to town with his hero power actually helping you.
You play Sorcerer's Apprentice + Spell, Chromatic trades into it and survive. Questing Adventurers instant die unless you can buff him up that turn. Violet Teacher 1/1s aren't going to do anything against Chromaggus. The only one I can see do decent is Kirin Tor and that's only because of the Vaporize you mentioned and not because of actual spell synergies.
You do know that in Hearthstone you can just attack into enemy minions with your own minions, right?

I just dominated Chrom twice in a row using a priest deck which simply buffed my Lightwells to the extreme. First kill I had won with a 9/36 lightwell, and the second with a 28 attack LW. So Chrommagus isn't an issue for me, but Nef on the other hand...

You also know that you can't attack the turn you play your minions unless they have charge right? Or that you literally said play spell triggering minions right?
Let me spell it out for you then. When Chromaggus plays a Chromatic Dragonkin, you should either hit it with something you already have in play, or play minions and pass. That is clearly not hard to comprehend, so i guess you simply do not want to acknowledge that your original comment was hasty and meaningless.

Shadow Word: Pain works on the dragonkin minion if the Shadow spell is the first one to buff it.

I tried 7 times with that deck, not even remotely close. You got insane amounts of lucky my friend, congrats.
Looking at the comments from the "buff priest" deck, I see idiotic things like people thanking the deck for delivering a win after 10+ tries. GUYS, THAT MEANS THE DECK IS BAD.
This worked for me! Thanks! Never even saw KT, but it worked!
For others playing against the bullshit boss, he runs TWO Alexstraza...if you can believe that nonsense.
No he doesn't, he innately copies every card he draws so if he draws Alexstrasza, he will draw 2 of them :P
Ah, yes, very true. He copied her at some point before he started milling himself.
I dont have KT :C
This got him 2nd try for me. First try there were too many Chromatic Dragonkins and i had to trade off important minions.
Questing adventurers might also be great in this deck, but i only thought of that after i had killed him.

Sorcerer's Apprentice, Violet Teacher, Kirin Tor Mage and possibly already buffed Mana Wyrms or Questing Adventurers can take care of them. Alternatively, you can just let them run into a Vaporize.
I did lose once to Chromatic Dragonkin, but that was when he played three in the first three turns, which should not happen very often.
