loatheb was great, KT was... okay-ish, but the rest? rivendare and stalagg/feugen were basically only super combo cards, barely viable in constructed, maexxna was even worse than that... atleast if you buy packs, you can actually DE the stuff you get to craft whatever you want, with the adventure, unless you are collector, you basically have to buy filler cards to get the couple of them you will want to use.
Best we can hope is BRM releases as few filler/junk cards as possible, but looking at naxx, which had good third of the cards unplayable to barely playable in one deck of one class for funzies, I dont really see it as such a great investment as others just yet, maybe when blizz reveals all the cards, I will change my mind.
I was happy with the legendaries as a whole. Loatheb and KT were both playable (Loatheb being exceptionally so) for strong meta decks. Rivendare and the Thadius bros were a lot of fun. I don't expect every card to be meta viable, but I hope that ones that are not meta breakers are at least fun.
I have 2 types of decks, competitive and fun. I felt as though most of the cards in Naxx fit into one of these two categories with few exceptions. Looking back over it I can only spot a few cards I've never played in any deck (Wailing Soul and Stoneskin Gargoyle off hand) so I felt as a whole it was a very successful set of cards.
gonna be honest. Why does everyone think there is going to be 2 adventures this year?. so far they are on par with last year. i wouldn't expect a second adventure.
“An adventure is essentially a single-player, PvE experience,” Chayes told IGN. “I’ll fight against some bosses, and as a reward for taking down those bosses I’ll get additional cards. It’ll be in the 20 to 30 range of cards I can earn by participating in these Adventures. We’re going to have those a little more frequently than expansions, as another way to continue to expand the card set.”
So adventures more often than expansions. I can't remember where it was said but Eric or Ben said at least 2 adventures and 1 expansion per year. I would also expect that if they add any new features like a class or different game mode, it will probably be at the next expansion near the end of the year.

I would expect 2 adventures and one expansion per year. They said last year that creating the ground work for adventures took them a long time and now that they have it they can make them faster. It's already slated to come come out earlier than the last one. And more adventures is money in the bank for Blizz. I would make a solid prediction that the format going forward is:
Adventure
Adventure
Expansion
With new features such as play modes and possibly one day a new class sprinkled in.
thank you guys for a mature and educated post to correct me. I was not aware that Ben had stated he had plans for adventures to become more plentiful. that actually makes me happy. as i prefer adventures.

Doctor Who? Dr. Boom. Timelord and Friend of All Daleks(Boom Bot).
I know I wasn't disappointed, things like 2v2 and new heroes are pretty far out there. Not only would they have to go through the hoops programming/balancing these new features, they'd have to completely redo the AI to accommodate it. Don't hold your breath for those two anytime soon. (My estimate: 2016)
I am looking forward to a tournament format, and additional deck slots, however. I wasn't expecting these just yet anyways. I remember reading Ben(?) saying 9 slots were plenty, that liar! And I haven't even heard a whisper of an actual tournament mode, at least observer mode they gave us a heads up about it. I know I'm extremely excited for the dragon synergy coming out, I guess they listened to us about that one. But hopefully we can see up to 72 new deck slots by the end of this year. (9 decks for each hero, would be easy to do, keep UI, choose hero, all 9 heroes are replaced by decks, just need to add in a card list to view in deck cards)

Deck slots are the only thing I truly feel they are being lazy about. Some days I just want to pick up and play my quest out, then call it a day. I also get in the mood to play a certain style sometimes. I would love to have enough space to have one deck for each class and maybe 6-9 more for playing around. This goes double when adventures drop and I need to customize decks to deal with certain bosses.
It's all because of the "self built-up hype" of the community. I even read about speculations saying it might be 2v2 mode for the adventure etc etc.
There's absolutely nothing that suggests that BRM will be very much different from Naxx, at most it might introduce a new theme like how Naxx is about deathrattle. We got dragons, fair enough.

No idea why anyone would've expected more.
One of the main reasons people expected more was because IGN released an article with info they received from "an inside source" saying that Blizz has been tinkering with 2v2, but the person that wrote that (after looking deeper into it) seems to either not be completely in the loop or was just making most of it up.
On the other hand he could have been correct, by the phrasing 'tinkering with 2V2' could mean that its being worked on but no where near ready for release.
But I do completely agree, things like not having extra deck slots is pretty unacceptable, along with selecting the pack you want from arena. Blizzards main argument is that they want to keep the game simple for new-comers. We all know thats a pretty BS excuse. Simply fixed with an option in the options menu to activate an additional set of deck slots. That why new players won't even notice it until they're ready and start looking around the options menu. Same with selecting arena packs, if anything, if I was a new player I would rather build my standard collection first before delving too deep into the GvG. I really hope they fix that soon.
I've been doing nothing but arena the past month and my GvG collection is like 85-90% complete.

I am not even excited with the new adventure/cards, the first wing cards are just junk, they wont change meta, just create a little more combos that wont be played after a couple of weeks.
I personally look forward to the new expansion, as adding new cards, even just 30, will shake up the meta quite a bit. New strategies will evolve, existing strategies may grow and change, or some old long dead archtype can be revived. It's not just the power level of the cards that matter, but by having additional copies of cards that fit into certain archtype can make or break it. Imagine another "unimpressive" one or two-drop neutral that doesn't have to be overpowered, but be just as effective as existing minions (say Clockwork Gnome), this card can be added to the aggro deck and instantly increase the decks consistency. There maybe just one of those decks that have consistency problem, but by having more redundancy on a certain copy of card, the archtype can become competitive again.
I've seen far too many times that people keep missing powerful cards with potential in new sets while over-hyping some other cards.
Edited: Misspelling "matter" into "meta" is just plain bad.
