I'm not totally clear on it either, and I've played WoW solid for 10 years.
It may be a reference to Blackwing Descent, a raid from Cataclysm. There was clear evidence that there were experiments going on to merge the dragonflights (similar to seeing the dragon corpses and Chromaggus in Blackwing Lair). There was also a revived Onyxia fight, a la Frankenstein with lightning to boot. Finally in a paused screenshot from the trailer there was a legendary magma worm card, which would appear to be the boss Magmaw from Blackwing Descent.
Taken together my guess is that it may have some reference to that raid zone.
Gotcha, thanks. I remember my bro mentioning that raid to me.
What seems weird is that the other wings are named for raids/dungeons with "bosses" referring to encounters.
For example, blackrock depths has "grim guzzler" as the first "boss" but in game that event had like 3 or 4 bosses. Ditto with the arena and dark iron emperor encounters.
I suspect each molten core wing will include a few bosses.
Therefore one would expect the fifth wing to be "blackwing descent" with "the hidden lab" as the final encounter.
I only played wow through The burning crusade, so I don't understand the final reference.
