So I trampled normal mode, both parties, 6 games in total. We got ready decks, which is refereshing, but quite uninteresting. What's worse - there's no pre-game list, even if the match was won beforehand. I dunno where the treasures are, if any, but even though the 3-card buckets can be frustrating, it's preferable in fun measures. This isn't salt, it's actually nice to have 30-life & 30-card matches, even if the AI is as stupid as always.
Then I went to heroic, which is build-a-deck. Icecrown is the only similar I got and it's Wild decks (got 4/9 there all standard decks, I don't play Wild), but Icecrown is easy to prep for as it's the exact same challenge. This one... I dunno. Future abilities look challenging, we'll see.
The opponents are same with upgraded abilities as always, had some time so I played the res priest ftw (wasn't exactly hard, won around turn 10), and I guess any tier 1 or 2 would suffice here. I played only the three vs evil league, but those weren't hard.
P.S. is there a List of all featured heroes, decklists, etc?
Normal is too easy, yes. The decks are fun though, you can do some pretty weird stuff that's not available in constructed.
But heroic is also a joke. I've steamrolled through all 6 heroic encounters using my Wild Control Renolock (last updated before DoD). I thought bosses would be harder with their 1 mana heropowers but AI is really dumb. This is nowhere near the level of difficulty we had in previous adventures (I played them all on heroic when they were released). I'm not sure whether it's just general level of powercreep in wild, or those bosses being too easy.
With Wild decks it should be even easier, I just don't have cards. Dalaran first heroic was a nightmare, I can't fill up all 9 in either chapter, got 8 on the first. The later one was easier. This one's dumb. Fun, but dumb.
I'll work on pushing through the heroic with standard pauper decks, That should be a challenge, and I don't have most epics anyhow.
I've just finished all heroic bosses mostly playing one standard deck - Shirvallah OTK paladin with Alextrasza to cut down their life total. Even Galakrond or Raafam weren't a problem. Finished them on first try (just restarted few times to get crystology in my starting hand). Here's the proof. Have a try! Good luck!
