Have fun with it. Try new things as you build your collection. Beating the Lich King with all classes was a rollercoaster of emotions as I built my collection. Also, many legendary cards that are considered bad can actually be quite good in specific matchups.
If you ever want to spend money on a boost, the old adventures are the way to go. Some really good cards in those.
@sandwoman: Are you a Standard only player or are you interested in Wild too?
If you want to get into Wild (and don`t want the FT packs only for the dust): A budget Jade Druid deck should be fine against most of the adventure bosses, is relatively cheap and can be used in Wild ladder too.
Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.
I don’t really have money to spend at the moment :(
i started the first one after the prologue and realised that somehow I needed to have lots of cards with big value or that could buff a card into big value since the enemy hero restores full health every turn. And I wasn’t sure how to build a deck that did that. Or maybe a lot of big board presence. Hm. I guess I will look through my cards again and see what I have.
I’ve only built three decks. A random hunter one. One for that 1-2-3-4... brawl and well the mostly auto complete one of the last one.
I’ve been playing wild with a friend and sometimes venture into the wild ladder accidentally or on purpose. But the decks in my collection are mostly the basic Trump ones. What’s the FT packs? I guess I need to understand about deck construction, to make use of what I have. Only have 465 dust or something :)
im also trying to fill in my collection on the site. Kinda tedious. Will take forever :)
No need to spend. You can build a collection by simply doing your daily quests. It's a slow burn. Wait until you have some decent stuff. Also, I'd advise against dusting anything just yet. Feels so good seeing a card get nerfed when you have a bunch of extras.
I've dusted the extras. I'm trying to enter my cards in the collection here but it's a loooooong tedious process. I have 3 more heroes to go and neutral cards > 2-cost. I'm not sure if you can see them or not.
@sandwoman: Just copy the name of the user over his/her avatar and then paste. :)
With "FT packs" I mean packs from "Frozen Throne" (sorry the official shortcut is "TFT", my fault).
@beat the bosses without dust: Theoretically it should be even possible to build a very low cost Druid deck and then just put in 2 copies of Jade Idol: Stall the match with your shi**y low budget cards, shuffle some Jade Idols back in your deck and then build bigger and bigger green men or just fatigue out the AI in the late game. :)

i need to craft jade idol. i've only crafted one card, um, um, it was wild so i could play wild. most of my cards are entered, manually, in my collection. except neutrals > 2
@Jade Idol: 1 card costs 100 dust. So 2 cards cost 200 dust. Not very expensive and as I said you could use it later on, if you build a Jade Druid for the ladder in the future. You should get enoug stuff from the adventure so 200 dust should be worth the investment.
But if you allready have the cards for a Inner Fire Priest just test this strategy out first. Maybe it is enough to win you the games and no Jade Idols are needed.
Keep us informed how it is going for you with the adventure. :)

@Wurstfett i shall see and will update allyuh accordingly. Right now I'm slowly making my way through the puzzles. And I will check if I have the cards for the inner fire priest.
ETA: I think i added all my cards to the collection. Now...i guess it's time to research inner fire. Thanks all.
How do you figure out which inner fire priest? Actually that applies for any. Someone names a deck and there’s so many variants. Are they all similar enough that it doesn’t matter? Is there some key component that makes it the named deck?

Look up a walkthrough for one of the old adventures. An effective Inner Fire priest will be listed there.

In case of Inner Fire Priest, yes. It's the card Inner Fire. ;)
As for the rest, most named decks have a "core" of cards that are agreed to be staples; the cards that are the best/most helpful for what you are trying to accomplish. Just to talk about Inner Fire Priest, you will ALWAYS want to include at least two Power Word: Shield and two Divine Spirit, since that is your main win condition: Buff a minion's Health to absurd levels, and then set the minion's attack equal to said absurd Health. We are talking about 20+ attack/health here, and against the Lich King something well over 40.
Beyond that, it depends how you structure the deck and what mode you are playing. For example, if you were to build a semi-aggressive Inner Fire deck for Wild, you would most likely include cards like Shadow Visions, Radiant Elemental, Velen's Chosen and maybe Kabal Talonpriest, but none of these cards is available anymore in Standard. In Standard, due to limited options, I've only seen people try to make a slower control-oriented deck that wants to bring back big Taunt minions like Witchwood Grizzly and Mosh'Ogg Enforcer with Mass Resurrection and Catrina Muerte, and buff those guys, or even include Lady in White. But they are not very good in the current meta.
Generally, Inner Fire Priests try to get a few minions out that are easy to buff and difficult to kill, draw a lot of cards (generally difficult with Priest) and then get a minion set up that is so big it outright kills the opponent or would survive any opposition. It is important to notice that the Lich King has a card called Obliterate, which you should keep in mind.
To achieve this, just about any Inner Fire Priest starts out with Northshire Cleric, because it is the main source of card draw for any Priest and a good buff target on its own. Acolyte of Pain can also be a decent addition, since it is another good target to buff and draws you extra cards. To draw a lot of cards with the Cleric, Circle of Healing can be incredibly strong. Keep in mind it also heals enemy minions and the Cleric would draw a card for EVERY healed minion. Also, just like most Priest decks in general, you need to worry about how to survive since Priests lack the tools to play very proactively, so cards like Shadow Word: Pain and Shadow Word: Death tend to make sense (Death isn't good against the Licht King. He has very few minions with 5 attack and more, if any).
Pick minions that have more health than attack. While it is not the best option for competitive decks, Lightwell can be decent against the AI, since it tends to get ignored, starts out with a lot of health, and the passive healing helps you with staying alive. Also, it is a Classic card and you might have opened one already. Since you started in April, you should also have Archmage Vargoth, another card that can help you a lot. Keep in mind though that as long as the enemy has minions on the board, he can also target them with buff spells you cast. Another card that should help you with Inner Fire and keeping your minions on the board is Extra Arms.
That's just for general advise and basic strategy. Feel free to ask any other question you have.
I feel like i cheated. I finally accumulated enough gold to get the last chapter of the Dalaran heist and so I used the Zayle card, and kept restarting the match until I got the priest. And well, did all the buffing etc and completed the first level of the lower citadel :)
many more stages to go!

Hello, I'm a relatively new player (April). Do I have any hope of completing the frozen throne solo adventure?
I did it with Whizbang
Final Boss, go Murloc Shaman
DJ
Ok. Thanks. I will look those up. I may not have the cards...I don’t have a lot.

fatigue the AI to death. I like that ;-)

Many (not all) bosses across all adventures and all difficulties can be defeated by an Inner Fire priest. The deck is cheap and effective. Good luck.
zmauls, thanks!

Thanks Dunscot!
I will reread this again but I think I recognise inner fire priest now. I’ve faced it. A lot :)))
i think I have vargoth and the standard cards you mentioned. I’m checking the wild ones: radiant elemental and velen’s chosen
thank you :)
